I feel sorry for Harold Camping. He doesn't seem like the kind of person to make this kind of thing up for profit (or at least attention) which means he really believed what he was saying. Now he's going to be hated and/or ridiculed world-wide, when all he wanted to do was warn us.

If we are honestly predicting something then let me come out and say that scientifically, the world wont end probably ever. The next thing the could actually physically happen is the planet being hit by a very large asteroid.

Most asteroids have already been mapped out and their courses are easy to determine. The next big thing that is for certain.. going to hit us is in 2036. A very large asteroid has a direct path with Earth then. Even then the world probably wont end. I am sure by then it will have been somehow destroyed by our future technology.

Unless we all get lazy and sit on our lazy butts.
