The Grox War

"Alright!" Fravini opened her ship hatch and jumped inside. "Should I get you or are you fine?" Fravini asked in communicator.

Palanosh was unable to get a shot off, the wall he was hiding behind being pounded by Grox weapons fire. "If that ship of yours has weapons some support would be much appreciated!" he shouted into his communicator.

"ALRIGHT THEN!" Fravini made her ship lift off and flew towards the Grox, launching anti-matter missiles at them. Each of them killed five Grox troopers.

"It won't be long before we get more heading our way," Palanosh said. "If they weren't already alerted those explosions almost certainly did. Land as quickly as you can, and keep the engines hot." Palanosh slung the rifle over his back and prepared to climb quickly aboard the vessel.

"Okay!" Fravini turned out of the hangar and flew out of the base. "Um.. Which direction is the main ship again?"

"Pick one," Palanosh said as they left the atmosphere of the planet. Hundreds of massive Grox carrier vessels orbited the planet, as well as various stations and defensive platforms.

"Fine.. Um.. North." Fravini answered.

"We have incoming," Palanosh said, looking at the sensors panel. "Four Grox fighters intercepting us. I'm hoping this thing has shields?"

"Yes." Fravini pushed a button and shields popped up. "It also has cup holders."

"I think this is hardly the time for refreshments," Palanosh replied. He pointed to one of the smaller of the Grox carriers. "There. Large enough for this ship, but hopefully small enough that we'll be able to take it. Only problem is getting inside without being shot down. And getting out of here before the prototype self destructs."

"Unless of course the Grox find a way around that safeguard and gain a massively advantageous new technology," he mumbled.

"Alright!" Fravini put a cloaking device on her ship and avoided getting shot by the Grox security cruisers. She flew her ship into the Grox carrier.

"A cloak?" Palanosh asked, somewhat surprised. "I'll have to find out later where you got this ship." Palanosh readied his rifle. "Alright, let's take this ship."

"Okay, I'll keep the ship right here because... It has the files." Fravini stuck a device to the wall, and a computer like machine opened up.

(Just to let you know, Flower is still wandering around inside the Cargo bay of the Eliminator. Nothing has really happened yet, he just keeps getting lost)

Finally having a moment of calm to piece together the turbulent events of the last few hours, a number of questions occurred to Ink. He decided to start with the most baffling one.

"So..." he said to Fravini, speaking from the back seat, "Palanosh betrayed us. Why have neither of us killed him yet?"

"I didn't want to stain my sword with his broccoli blood... I wasn't serious about that. I actually didn't kill him because he wasn't being selfish and doing it for himself, he was trying to save his empire." Fravini said. "But making a deal with the Grox is just plain stupid."

Palanosh inserted a fresh power cell into his rifle as he entered back into the cockpit of the ship. "I believe that the best course of action would be for someone to disable the security systems and manage the bulkhead hatches," Palanosh said. "Leave open only the corridors that will provide the safest passage to the ship's bridge. Once there, the ventilation controls can be used to vent toxins into the sections where Grox are trapped."

"I'm capable at that!" Fravini got her sword out and shot it through the wall, she dug some wires out and connected it to her communicator. She pressed some buttons and noises of faint buzzes in the security systems.

"Someone will have to remain here then to maintain control of the hatches in the corridors to ensure that the Grox security forces don't surround whoever goes to take the bridge," Palanosh said.

"...I think Ink could do that."

"Understood," Palanosh said. "Grab a weapon, we should move quickly, it is highly unlikely that the Grox are unaware of our landing in the hangar."

Naboo9 was look down one of the corridors "if your prototype anything like the one my kind made 30 years ago, if the grox try to use the engines without the primary power conduit the ship will explode, the ship should be abandoned." Naboo9 said cooly.

"So Ink, any more questions?"

((Naboo, we are in a different ship now, having abandoned Palanosh's prototype.))

"No, no," Ink muttered as the others geared up to leave, "feel free to run off and get yourselves killed while I sit here listening to you being vaporised... Maybe I'll get a recorder set-up. Popcorn, perhaps."

Really, however, he had no qualms about staying behind on this excursion -- obviously, he argued, there was little chance of maintaining stealth with the rest of the group, and it had been a long time since he had sat in a real leather seat. Maybe it would be a nice change of pace.
