what are your fav books?

what is your fav book? post a bit about it!

My favorite books are probably Jurassic Park and it's sequel, The Lost World. In fact, most Michael Crighton books are awesome. I hate contemporary fiction, though, so I generally stick with the classics.

oh yeah... those are REALLY good too.

Mostly horror and sci fi. Here's my list:

Death troopers: Zombies, and starwars. Amazingly it worked

The undead: An anthology of zombie stories

Infected and Contagious: The story of an alien virus and the people who try to stop it.

The Alex rider series: Although it looks cheesy. It's amazing in every way.

And pretty much every zombie book or sci fi book ever made. What A great combination.

Skulduggery Pleasant series: dark AND witty

Anyone heard of the Legend of Drizzt...I like books set in times with swords and stuff...and it has to have a good plot or i can't read it

I just remembered I like the Alex Rider series too!

hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. the book, not the *sucking* movie

I like the Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief series and I also like the Series of Unfortunate Events series. I also like others, but i can't remember their names.

im not going to say what i like im going to say what i hate! lol! i hate the harry potter series and the twilght series! there such stupid books!

I liked harry till around the 5th or 6th, especially after the movies.

Oh God, where to start? I absolutely love the classics. The Fountainhead was incredible. And 1984 was amazing...

My favourite books generally involve fantasy... Currently, my favourite books are "Valorian's Children" which includes the books "Dark Horse" and "Lightning's Daughter", and the sequel to it, called "Valorian's Legacy", which includes the books "City of the Sorcerers" and "Winged Magic".

And honestly.. I enjoyed the Twilight Saga. I have all four of the books, and I can't understand why they get so much hatred.. or so much obsession. They aren't absolutely and utterly amazing, but they're not entirely awful, either. I'd say they are pretty good, no more, no less. ^^

I also like "The Inheiritance Cycle", and am currently reading Brisingr. =]

I agree, even though I've never read the Twilight saga, I don't understand why everyone hates it. It can't be that bad. I'm sure there are worse books out there that don't get ridicule. I know how much this makes me sound like a hypocrite, so I'll just delete my previous comment. :P

Haha, I'd get why you like it. It's obviously geared toward girls. That would be why most guys despise it. You know... like the Jonas Brothers, or Justin Bieber. (Both of which I hate) Lol, that's all I've got to say. ;)

Ohh, you did not just stereotype girls. xD From some sites I've been on, at least half of the girls hated Twilight with a passion, then there was a 40% that were obsessed, and another 10% like me who just liked it. I have a friend in real life who's a guy and HE read the first book and kind of liked it. And no, he's not gay. xD

And just so you know, Jonas Brothers have some of the worst songs I've ever heard. Justin Bieber I have never listened to, and don't particularly care to. xD

Lol, I'm not stereotyping girls, I'm stereotyping musicians and writers. The truth is, anything or person that alot of girls like that is boy related will instantly be called 'gay' by the male population. It's perfectly natural, but I really don't feel like going any deeper into this conversation. God knows where it could end up. O_o

I am not a girl in case that is what you're implying!
