interestingly this was commission to do a TF2 fan OC instead of a normal loadout commission, which was actually a fun change

I wanted to make myself an icon but I didn't feel like actually drawing myself so I drew my dumb medic OC instead lmao

the only problem I have with making these things is everyone seems to have an unusual but me ;^;

something I sketched in class yesterday that I'm not sure if I'm going to do anything with so I'm posting it here in case I don't.

Okay I've been doing some shitty pixel art recently and might need some critique on these works in progresseses from people more capable than myself!

y'know before the images loaded I was honestly expecting another set of "this is me walking my dog" images to break my post combo again but I'm actually impressed, the colour schemes in both those images make sense, and there's definitely been thought behind the layout of each scene. plus they're cute so good job!!

one thing I can suggest is maybe add a little more detail to the backgrounds? for the first image, while the inside views of the rooms are definitely very busy, the outside buildings seem like dead-space in comparison. maybe you could add some windows with a slightly darker colour, similar to this image?


as for the second image, there's a lot more going on in the background of the scene, which I'm digging. maybe you could do a subtle diffused gradient for the areas that are largely one colour (eg. the sky, the foreground grass)? an example I can think of is this scene from Pokemon:


that's just my suggestion, though.
overall, definitely a great effort! :>
