| Looks cuddly. Looks like what Salad fingers would've looked like if he were a tadpole. Oh, and had glowing pink eyes. Also, cannibals. - Hidden b/c of minor blood.:

| Well, the art thread's been getting a lot of attention lately. Spurred by Kitty's fursona, I've been thinking about something similar for myself, and naturally I decided on a Weavile. Following a how-to-draw by a guy on deviantart who actually does a lot of Weaviles, I managed to sketch this out. It's not as impressive as the works you lot are putting out, but I'm getting more confident when I put pencil to paper. The paper was blue, by the way. | |

| And here we have the preliminary sketch of my sona! This was just to get the majority of the image onto something tangible so that I know what he actually looks like. There'll be loads more detail when I draw him larger and posed. At that point, I'll get into my suit, strike the pose, and have my picture taken so that I can use that as a reference. Also Kitty, while I was drawing this, something struck me. Your sona has that massive invisible strip on her abdomen so you can see right through it, so... what would she look like if she was pregnant? | |

| I've been working on another signature, and I've tried to go by the advice I was given since the last one. A more varied pallet, a dynamic render, no picture background, and more shadows around the non-lit areas. How does it look? | |

| Not bad Tate, though I do have some suggestions. - While I see that you're using the white graphics to resemble light, The graphics over the Weavile seem to be overshadowing it a little bit and make it blend into the background which, for a Signature, probably isn't what you'd want. You'd want the Weavile to be the center of attention, right?. Maybe dim the opacity of the white lines in from of the Weavile, to give him a little more visibility and make him stand out! - It's great to see you're experimenting with colour! Colour is an important part of the picture, so experimentation is a major plus. Might I suggest some more colour difference in the background, though? While the colour you have chosen works fine with the graphic, it looks a little bland as it fades into black. If you look at Delta's signatures, he often uses variances in colours in order to give his signatures a specific mood. - For example:
On mine, there is an abundance of warmer colours, making it look more friendly and happy. On Drago's, there is a slight blend between purple and maroon, giving it a somewhat mystical feel. Finally, on yours, there is a great usage of dark, dreary colours, giving a sense of hopelessness and mystery.
If you need help with picking a good palette, or you can't think of one to fit the graphic, I strongly recommend this tool: https://kuler.adobe.com/create/color-wheel/ It's a colour wheel which allows you to create a colour scheme based on whichever colour theory you choose. It's quite helpful, sometimes I use it with my art! Of course, you don't have to stick necessarily with the colours it gives you, but I'll give you a better idea on what looks good with what. Plus, it's fun to play with. P: Overall, you're getting there, bro! | |

| Thank you kindly for your advice. I see how the fractal on top of the Weavile seems to blend it in with the background. I was hoping it would seem like it was slashing the fractal in half with its claws, but if it didn't have that effect then it's back to the drawing board. Speaking of which, here's take two. It's not as neat at the other one and the shading on the Weavile simply isn't as good, and it seems a bit messy, but I'm just looking to solve the issue of the camouflaging Weavile. The idea was to split the fractal in half and have the upper half behind the Weavile's body, so that it didn't completely cover it up and the Weavile really seemed to be cutting it open. Maybe it would look like that if I didn't dump loads of crap on top of it, but I'm just experimenting. The frosty fractals lancing up from its claws should look like some sort of dangerous energy slash the Weavile is putting on, and so far it looks like I need to make them more subtle, in addition to more consistent. The C4Ds around the edges don't really fit in. EDIT: I decided to go back onto the first one and try to fix the issues raised rather than start again from scratch, because the first was so much neater. Does this look like a good improvement? | |

| I really like how you've given them a luminous glow, Kitty. Alright, new signatures. I fussed a lot about where to put the text. As you can see I'm experimenting with text, fractals, and new Pokemon. EDIT: Does the Tentacruel signature look better with or without rain? - Spoiler:
