Mass Forum Cleanup

Hello,

Ever since camel made the forum (He made it first, I adjusted it massively, then..he changed it back Q_Q), the sheer amount of forum category's on the Main Page has made the forum look unruly and untidy. Shall we agree to change this?

Obviously, I didn't want to just go ahead and change it around. I plan on Merging a lot of Category's together. Possibly even deleting a few. It would just make it tidier, and easier to access.

Yes, that would be very useful, currently the best way to navigate the forum is by the 'latest topics' sidebar.

On the subject of forum changes, the banner: I'd prefer if we stuck to one, and it seems that the names on both are now out of date. I could provide a version of the more recent one without any names on it, if that would be helpful. And yes, I am really suggesting this because I dislike the old one and am irritated by its continued existence. But I hesitate to criticize.

Is it the Same Banner? Because, it's a nice Banner.

EDIT: I also plan to delete a lot of Unwanted User Groups (Advisors, Specialists, Awesome Adventurers ect.)

Eh, Galox. I'd like to ask that you keep the changes minimal for now. We just finished some large changes already (Other than the rules, since I've been procrastinating) PM me with any proposed changes, but as for now. I'd like it if you don't touch anything.

I agree with Galox that the forum needs a bit of a tidy, but it is up to Hutch how and when that happens.

We just did some massive forum clean up. In case you did not notice.. and I have no idea how many times I have said this..

lol, there is a whole section designated to "prop requests," a whole section on a "chatbox committee" (Whatever that is) 3 Whole Sections aimed towards the Critique of Adventures, a Library AND an RP Section, Newbie Information and an Introduce yourself section, , Thats quite a few sections right there :P

I couldn't agree with you more, but I just want to get my bearings together before we make more massive changes. However, I'll tell you when we can start.

I do not think it's necessary to remove any groups. Afterall, they're not unecessary and they haven't really gotten any negative effect on the forum itself.

And i agree with with the Banner. I think, EuroSpore had this banned made by Sjhorm (?) which was awesome wich also blended in into the background. We should make it something like that.

Ah yes, matching a banner with a black background is far easier than doing so with a gray colour that must be identified from using the eye-dropper tool on screenshots, as usually I start from a black background anyway, and using any gradient maps will inevitably alter most colours other than black. xD

I believe the banner I made already goes to black at all of its edges.

Perhaps if somebody could make an awesome background in a similar style, that would be awesome. It's been way too long since I touched Photoshop, so I'll leave that to somebody more..talented :P

Dimensions and guidelines?

On the new banner, there should be the NEW admin names, like Hutch, 3DBlenderRender, maybe Camel would stay...

The banner maker should (In my mind) Be the person Glass talked about, or 3D....We would need a new background first, so they could make a good Banner.

It would be better, in my opinion, to have no names at all on the banner. That way it does not become necessary to modify it every time the leadership changes.

I like everything. Don't change it. However, I agree that we should have no names on the banner. We should use the old banner.
