The Sporum isn't really all that bad. Most people aren't active, and those that are are usually good people. If you want your thread to be seen by a lot of people, then that place is the best because it has many more members than GAC.

Also bear in mind Gelo it takes a lot of time to make a "Good" Thread. I have made a lot of these apparently.

You cant please everyone there, but by maintaining your threads there it make the number of happy people skyrocket. Then you dont get flamed.

But for me , my threads get really overlooked. But what makes me think is how the worst year of the spore community was 2010, lots of things really unfolded O.o

It was .. stressful. I cant exactly agree it was the worst year. Even though many many drastic things happened.. I am honestly still shocked lived through all of it.

I wasn't there when everything unfolded.

It was so many bad ideas and glitches happening at once. I have never seen so much RRD in my life. Then the forum glitches came and then it just all keep happening but it got ten times worse every time.

Sounds crazy.

Just so you know. RRD = Rapid Retardation Disorder.

Well, at the beginning there was darkness. Then.. Oh wait.

1st

To start the year off there was bot part rage. I am sure you are familiar with that. Rage Petitions spawned everywhere. Resulting in storms of more rage.

2nd

Then one of the most famous spourmers got an EA ban. A spammer mass reported him and more rage came about.

3rd

Glitches start happening. Slowly gets very very severe.

4th

Thread kill glitch hits almost every popular thread, including one of my own. Sweeping the threads of posts. Everything gone. Including the most popular thread of all time.. MUD.

5th

Rage from all this. Then Spammers from 4 chan massively invade. New sporemasters later appointed.

6th

Spam stops for a few months. Now we are at may on the time line. Rage from the many Template challenges.

7th

An infamous user starts spamming with alts. Later gets suspended in August.
Serious controversy later happens. Everything gets chaotic. Trees catch on fire.

8th

Big name spourmers quit in mass numbers. Signature shops get all but destroyed by Thread kill glitch. All this is now happening at once.

9th

Spam stops for a very long while, and the glitches do too.

10th

New year


To say the least, those were the major ones. There were literally hundreds more coming from the many popular threads.

I never got into his BS. At the time I was afraid he would downrate me. All I know is some serious S*** happens between him and Tecno.

But anyways, the downrating thing has really effected the community.

As for downrating.

It only effects people who truly care about the MPN. I cant say its had much of an effect on us. You should know that people seriously over exaggerate it.

Yes, If they just ignore it then the downraters would just stop.

Downraters will never stop. Most of them don't do it to get people mad. Its so they can get on the MPN instead. Thats why people downrate a lot.

...That's stupid.

Its all for subs too. Getting on the MPN can easily get you ten new subs in a matter of hours.

I am not exactly in it for subs either. I still got a lot though. You dont see me downrating poor other people.

..How can we? How do we even know who's downrating because you don't get notified for ratings.

People can only assume. Which makes the matter ten times worse. I have been in clubs that were shut down cause of downrating.

Its all pretty pathetic.

Yeah, it is pretty stupid. :/

I don't even know how people get so worked up over the internet. .

I don't see how people are so desperate to be popular.
