The ARSOG

The Adventure Rating System Of GAC - Inspired by the ESRB and Spore GA.

Ok, so basically this is an idea for GAC adventure testers were a group of five of us test adventures made by GACers. Then we all corporate on a rating for the adventure. (I.E: T, E, M) Just like the ESRB rate games! I think this is a good idea because, a child may play an adventure with coarse langouge and gore. And they don't even get a warning! This is why I feel GA needs it's very own ESRB team overwise known as ARSOG so we can help the community! If your interested in joining the qualifications our below.


Ratings:
E: Everyone
E 10+: Everyone Ten plus
T: Teen
M: Mature

Qualifications:
-Must be an adventure tester.
-Must be able to play spore so you can test the adventure.
-Can be absent at times, but must be on GAC at least once every three days.

As you can see there is only 3 spots aviable for in progress and unlimted spots for waiting list. If anyone dissagrees of how I set this up or if this is just a bad idea in general just speak up!

I'm sorry to say that I won't be joining, since my Spore is constantly breaking. But I think this is a good idea, but only for people who request for their adventure to be rated. I could imagine it being very annoying if people get discouraged from playing my adventures because of the rating. So make sure you only rate people who say you can.

As for me, feel free to rate all of my adventures. I'm expecting them all to be E or E 10+. Maybe PG for the one where Tomba dies in the giant explosion and you have to listen to his sad hologram recording.

(On a side note, I thought PG was a movie rating system, not for video games?)

Thank you Gelo, and thats how I had it planned, only people that request get their adventure rated so yeah. And It's a shame you can't join, but I'm okay with it.

And the last thing, I think you may be right, but I'm not sure I'll find out later..

this is a great idea, my latest adventures are probably all M... do you mind if I make a few rating symbols for people to upload to their page, saying what it's for and such?

Gamer111 - Hmm... great idea, but the qualifications seem a bit harsh. I could never qualify to join because I'm often away from GAC, SPORE and my computer.

Also, Spore itself is rated 10+, GA is rated T. Also, you might want a KO, rank, Kittens Only for those ones that look like Sesame Street and stuff, and the older kids will be so disgusted they will die.... JK, this was a joke, I couldn't help saying it.

make a CS rating to warn players it will be a clark and stanley adventure...

@Dark - that would be great! But what I had planned was that once somebody's adventure gets rated they have to go to spore.com to add the rating they recived to the discription. But the rating symbal thing is a great idea! Go ahead!

@Dark - Haha! I don't think I'll do that, but If It's a C&S adventure it will be at least PG and say: Clark and Stanley Refferences. Lol.

@3DBlenderRender - Your right, 3DBR I may think about changing some quafilations, but you still have to be an adventure tester and such. That was one of the reasons I made this.

Ok, I've got some rating system ideas. here goes:

Kittens Only: Little/No Violence, Not recommended for older audiences.

Generally E: Violence, mild theme (like an important character dying).

E 10+: Mild language, Crude Humor, mild blood.

T: Theme, Frightening scenes, blood, Language, Toilet Humor.

M: Brutal Violence, Strong Theme, Blood & Gore, Strong Language, Horrific Scenes, Dark Humor.

AO: Includes Clark and Stanley, Nudity, *insert other things kids shouldn't see that I don't want to post here*

KO is the same as CO, just more cute (and fuzzy! JK) and childish sounding than CO.

@BlixaFish when we say nudity, we mean more on the lines of something like seeing someones ass or something..

Oh... okay. I guess that is okay if you warn people.
