MC Multiplayer Organization Thread

Plague, you can be on backup for both teams in case one person isn't there when everyone else is. Also, four players on a team will not work. The games were designed for three people, and there are a few where four people would seriously unbalance the structure. Some of them might work with an extra player, but they were designed with three in mind.

Apperantly there has been a change of plan with me today so..I'm free for all day so yeah. Let me know if the team games are gonna be on.

Alright, here's how it's gonna go down. I have limited time today, but it looks like we're all here besides Kitty. If she doesn't magically show up, Plague will be the yellow team substitute.

I'll be on and off intermittently today, hopefully I'll catch whoever I need to catch at the right time.

Really had a blast playing the games. I'm happy to play again the next time. Also, I defeated Eppy at Picture Panic.

Mm. Are you planning to organize this thing again? I'm sure it would be a lot better with all the people playing.

Just to let you know, the reason why I didn't show up was becaus you all started at 6:30 AM in my time and I woke up at 8. :V

Still on vacation, will be back tomorrow, but I have a question. Is there a texture pack that I need for these maps?

The official texture pack is Jolicraft, and the map packs look best using it, but you don't have to use that one for the map to look right. It's just suggested that you use Jolicraft. ;)

So a few things. Firstly, as you may notice, the title (and thus the purpose) of this thread has changed to include more than just the Noxcrew Gameshow maps, but now any multiplayer experience within Minecraft, be it PVP maps you'd like to play, or adventure maps you'd like to play with other people. It should be self-explanatory why I did this, and I'll edit the OP later so it makes more sense.

Secondly, there's a PVP map I'd like to try out, entitled "The Walls". If you haven't already seen it, here's the Yogscast's video of them playing it.



I'd like to try this with four people (one on each side), then if it is fun for more than one person, we can try it with eight people (two per team). This map is best played with a gamemaker, I'm told, so anyone who would like to volunteer for that position (and is someone I trust, sorry AG) would be warmly recieved. We also need someone to host the map on their server (default is Tala as of now). If you would like to volunteer for any position (player, gamemaker, host), please post below.

I've seen The Walls video by Yogscast, looked really fun, so I would like to volunteer for player!

Well seeing that I don't mind always being the gamemaker and the odd time player, I would absolutely love to do this.

Alright, this looks good. Shar, I'd like to clarify: are you volunteering for gamemaker or player, or both? Because of my schedule for tonight, I'm afraid we can't do anything today. Also, even if four people sign up to be player, please keep signing up so we can have eight players for round 2.

I suppose I am default for hosting. Especially since I figured out how to host servers. *derp* I'd rather play than be gamemaker, and I'd also rather have 2 players for each side on round 1 than round 2; Playing with 2 people is more fun than just 1.

Ehm, I think we should stick with one person per side for the first round. There's actually a sequel to this map (cleverly titled "The Walls 2") that we could try with eight people.

Seems like we've got a full set here.

What I mean is, I'm fine with being the game maker but well sometimes it can get boring too many times in a row. However if I could chop and change from player to gamemaker and vice versa, that'll be fine as long I get some fun to!

Okay then. I think we'll give you GM status for the first round, and depending how things turn out, I may be the GM for the second round (on the sequel map).

Also, it looks like everyone who has signed up is online currently, except Darkshadow. I'll message you guys on Steam when he hops on, which will hopefully be soon.

Darn, it seems I won't be able to join you guys. Sorry! Maybe another time.

id love to join, I've wanted to try that map for a while now
