Terran Empire on Earth

Are you annoyed that Earth is a T-1 wild planet and uninhabited? Do you want to put humans into your Spore galaxy? I am, and I've figured out a way to put an Empire in that has Earth as its homeworld.

Step 1: You will need at least two games, one in which you have Staff of Life (which I will refer to as Game SOL) and one with which you want to colonize Earth (Game Earth).

Step 2: With Game SOL, use the Staff of Life on Earth so that it is T-3. Do not use normal terraforming, as it will ruin the terrain and water level. If you want, use Creature Exradicator on animals and replace them with normal Earth animals. Do not colonize any part of the Sol system.

Step 3: Start Game Earth in a system near Sol. You may want to call them the Terran Empire, if you're going with the classic human-on-earth approach. Also be sure to make them the right archetype.

Step 4: Still with Game Earth, place three colonies on Earth (Asia, Antarctica and Africa are best). Fully equip them with buildings, turrets and vehicles.

Step 5: If you want, colonize a few more planets around Sol to make an Empire.

Step 6: Delete Game Earth.

Step 7: With Game SOL, destroy Game Earth's homeworld and any colonies around it. Game Earth's capital system should shift to one of the colonies around Sol. Keep destroying colonies unti Sol is their homesystem.

You have now established a Terran Empire on Earth. Though you can't play as them, you can interact with them in other games.

This also works in other systems. If you want your empire to have a moon homeworld, follow this with that moon instead of Earth.

I don't think Humans would be the Grox. Why? Because many Humans are far more horrible than the Grox.

Not really. From what we've seen of the Grox, they're all fanatically dedicated to destroying everyone else. While some Terran nations share their philosophy, I think that's just the governments talking. I think that the majority of us are peaceful.

Of course, that could just be wishful thinking...

Not necessarily. The Grox have some allies, and some sub species of Grox are known to be peaceful.


I don't know about what you said, yes, mainly it's the government, but still, most people don't care about the enviroment at all, and I think that's as bad as being vicious towards other nations. Many are also very Xenophobic. And *quotes Frostie*.



Anyway, back on topic. That's a pretty good idea, however, do you need to delete your game (can your empire not be hurt by your other empires?).

Yes, I thought of it myself. I wish it was possible to not delete the game, but at least the empire is still active in-game (I think). And yes, you can still fight them in wars. I'm not sure if they fight back, though.

Where d you get the Staff of Life? Is it an artifact or do you buy it?

You know when you haven't sporing long enough when... Just kidding, you have to get it at the center of the galaxy.

Oh I've never even made it there. Guess that explains why I didn't know.

1. Caught out with the grox article!
2. You can colonise Africa and Antarctica without disturbing their shape?
3. @Dory01 You can destroy them after you delete the save game they belong to. They will remain in the galaxy, but not accessible from the game screen. When they exist in a save game, you cannot destroy them, but when you delete the game, they become like any other empire.
4. On a personal note, I would like to colonise the Sol system all to myself. That way I feel that I possess something very rare.
