About Pre-releases, I downloaded pre-release 11w50a, but when I replaced the current Minecraft.jar with the new one, there was no change. I even tried the force update, but nothing changed. Any ideas on what I did wrong? Not sure what you did wrong, but force updating won't help, since it'll just download a new offficial jar (in this case 1.0.0) from mc.net, replacing the pre release.

| While wandering the Nether today, I came across this thing: This is the largest glowstone formation I've ever seen! mining it gave me several stacks of glowstone dust, and about a stack of it probably fell into lava while I was mining it: (I have the Aether mod installed) Now I should have plenty of glowstone for anything I may need it for for a long time. Good thing too, earlier that day I got knocked into lava while mining glowstone by ghasts several times.... | |

| No fair. Everyone gets mods but me Well, I COULD try again, but last time I lost all my server and ever since I've been scared to touch Minecraft scripting at all... I'll only try mods if I download a new fresh Minecraft on a different computer. Oh, and I have no idea what that glowstone formation was. Just a weird Nether Thing. One more thing. I still can't get pre-releases to work. | |

| I can't help you with pre-releases, but for mods save a backup of your Minecraft.jar before you try adding one. I would also advise using MC patcher to add mods, it works well (Though it was kinda complicated to get the Aether to work with it...) | |

| On Minecraft.jar, when getting a new one, if it has a (1) after the minecraft part, does it matter to change it? | |

The jar file that you want the game to use has to be named minecraft, without any numbers or anything. I thought that was obvious, but I guess it isn't for everyone.

| They are missing a dragon egg in this patch. Unless maybe the one you get from the end actually works the same way as the other eggs.
LETS FIND OUT | |

| Um, I don't know if they added seasons, but I'm hoping this is only temporary:
My world is becoming a snow biome. It hasn't snowed yet, but my water is freezing.
HELP! | |

HELP! If this is in a Taiga biome, then as of 1.1, there is be snow and ice. If you aren't in a Taiga biome, then I have no clue what is going on.

| Ok. That sucks.
I officially hate mods.
My friend got Minecraft today, and is so annoying that he immediately wanted mods. At his house I spent HOURS watching tutorials and copying and pasting things like "aa.class" or whatever, and messing with stuff. In the end, Tropicraft didn't work, only Modloader had seemed to work. Then he said: "Aw. How about we try again next time you come over?" And I went insane. Hours of trying to install mods, eating up our time to hang out, and it doesn't work. Thus, I know officially HATE MODS.

Most mods you don't have to do anything but put the .zip into your mod folder if you use that to install them.
