Alright guys, this is really important, because it happened to me yesterday, and I feel it could potentially happen to one of you, as well.
Yesterday, I tried logging into Spore. Despite the fact that my e-mail and password were correct, it did not recognize me as an actual user.
Naturally, I thought I had received the almighty ban-hammer from Maxis. So I checked my e-mail: nothing.
Regardless, I started to panic. I did everything I could possibly think of: retyping the password, checking for caps lock, etc. etc. etc.
I tried using the "Forgot your password?" feature, but the alleged e-mail carrying my information never showed up. Again, odd.
Finally, my brother decided enough was enough and contacted customer support. An hour and a half later, he got a response with a link that would allow him to change the password without needing an e-mail. He changed the password, and VOILA: I could log in again.
So, if anything like this happens to you, the best thing you can do is contact customer support. That's my advice to you, because it worked out so well for me.
