| As I've seen people bump their threads more and more lately, especially the same people, I've decided to set some rules on bumping:
1. You can only bump after at least a day (24 hours) of no posts 2. You may not bump more than twice in a row 3. You may not include a really big image to go along with your bump (100x100 is the maximum)
I hope that these rules will keep our forum posts meaningful and spam-free. Penalties for breaking these rules will result in deleting the offending post, and any further necessary punishment will be decided by a mod or admin.
(If any admins disagree with these rules, you may change them immediately or request that I change them.)

| I like these rules, except that i think that you should atleast be allowed to bump twice before you cannot bump aymore. Poeple's threads should have a chance twice and if no one sees it, It's going straight down to the abyss. | |

Hmm... I did say that you can bump more than once if someone else posts between bumps. But I guess that is minor enough of a change that I can add it in.

| What about disguised bumps? Like when someone says something relevant and new (like an update), what happens there? | |

If somebody says something significant to the purpose of the original thread, then it is perfectly fine. The bumps we're talking about in this thread are when somebody just says "bump" of something else insignificant.

| Bit wouldn't That Disguised bump with à purpose be à double post? That would cause trouble. | |

It wouldn't be a double post if there were another person posting before you. Besides, much like bumping, you're allowed to double post if the posts are moderately spaced apart (the standard is 24 hours). Besides, it doesn't really matter if it's a disguised bump, because it still has something meaningful to say. And you know how some threads are very unpopular, and some people need to add stuff to their threads even if nobody is posting.

| Thanks, camel. I'm glad that you agree with these rules.
In fact, speaking of rules, I'm moving this to the rules section.

| I think that the rules section doesn't have enough threads. And besides, we want the universal rules to be nice and short so that people don't get bored reading through them. | |

Bored through reading them? To little threads? To be honest, i wouldn't mind if everything was collected in one thing. I would be bored to see through many different threads. I think it would be much nicer if it all was in one thread. For example: "I have to check through 5 different rules threads? That's a waste of time." I think it would be muhc smoother if it we're colected in one thread. Maybe two or three.

| I agree with Glass on that. If there aren't many threads in the rules section, why have it?
Why not have a stickied Master Rule Thread?
