Spore Movie

It would be a good movie if it had a plot (not a documentary), preferrably one that had to do with the Grox, the Darkspore, or both.
It would be a good movie if it's going to take itself seroiusly and if the plot would be aimed at teens, like with the first Ice Age film. But, as my past experience tells me, both Blue Sky and EA have developed an increasing tendacy to aim their products at younger audiences(see the other two Ice Age films, Spore Hero, aspects of Core Spore, official GA missions etc.) so yeah, I'm skeptical. Call it cynicism if you want, but my expectations from this projects aren't high at all.

Personally, I'm not too optimistic. I don't know how you could turn something like Spore into a movie. But who knows? Maybe Gelo is right and it'll turn out really good!

I'd love a Space Stage plot. Creature could turn out okay as a documentary, but I doubt it. Civ and/or Tribe could work . . . as long as some elements from Space were included. Maybe a primitive species could discover a wrecked spaceship, for example. Then they could end up using its technology to build spaceships of their own, and then leave to explore the galaxy just before the Grox attack and destroy their homeworld. Then they'd have to brave the unknown as they journey into the cosmos, meeting allies and enemies, etc.

I just hope they give the movie a somewhat serious atmosphere. Star Wars: The Clone Wars might have done a bit better if it had been more of a serious movie.

They should have an epic grox war! That would indeed be awesome

My guess is that they're going to incorporate some of the stages in with the other ones. Like Mitch said, maybe a couple of creatures or tribe members will encounter a spaceship. Or if that doesn't happen, then my guess is that it will just be the movie version of Spore Hero.

If it was based off the Spore Hero story I would be at even more disappoint.

I don't think it will be in theaters any time soon.

I must admit this Spore movie may not be terrible. But most likly it will. Here is one of my reasons:

I have a strong feeling this movie will be aimed at kids as Spore is an E 10+ game that was made to be child friendly and get a more of a "younger" audience. So they will probably do the same with the movie. Heck, they may even make a si-fi care bears! I don't know about you but that would be just awful. I hate kids movies.

I liked Horton! But i never watched TS3...

Meh, I must addmit it, I like some pixar movies. Like TS3 and some others.

There has always been the everlasting problem where they make movies from books (that is the normal part), and then make video-games from the movies themselves.

Usually these kinds of video games suck, and I think EA and/or Maxis realized that fact, and decided to make a movie off of a popular video game. With what I have found with other stuff like this, I believe it will either not come out or just be an epic fail movie.

I could easily be wrong.

Toy Story always has a lot of adult humour. The children are just in it for the toys.

A lot of movies were adapted from games and were sucsessful! Of course most of them are major games everyone plays almost or has at LEAST heard of... Also if it is real I think it'll sort of be a funny documentary. Bassically a documentary except not educational in any way with funny jokes one involving a creature going in to tribal stage throwing a stick up in the air but it comes down hitting him/her... ( Love that scene.) It'll also probably include all the stages and we'll more than likely involve The Grox somewhere in it.

You can't judge a movie before it comes out.

If it does turn out to be a mockumentary, it's pretty much guaranteed to focus almost completely on creature stage and not include Civ or Space in any way. If it's an actual story, then it probably will focus on Space. But I doubt it'll be a story.
