I decided to make this review thread on one of Lego's newest production line, Hero Factory, so you know what characters to buy and not to buy. If you have any reviews, post them here. Note: I will not review any product I do not curently own.
Hero Factory Season 1Heroes:
William Furno: The Build: As I excpected, the build was short and simple. It dosn't take long to build at all thanks to its low count of parts. For the build on William Furno, I give him 7/10: Its easy anyone can do it, but way to short.
The Parts: There are a whole lot of new parts in this set, but the parts are way to simmilar to his counter parts(Breeze and Surge) witch makes them become average quick. His weapons seem a bit to big for him and his helmet, althogh it has a lot of detail, is quite boring. The arms and legs are the worst, they don't bend and their odd color dosent mix well with the rest of Furno's red body. For the parets of william Furno, I give him a 5/10: New parts, but get old quick and no flexable limbs.
Overview and Play: When all put togather, the first impression William Furno gives is a well made set, but thats when he is by himself. Put him with other sets from Bionicle and Hero Factory, he becomes short, really short. Poseing him becomes a pain all because of unflexible arms. He dose stand out, but im not sure if its in a good way or bad way. For the Overview on William Furno, added with the Build and Parts he comes down to 6/10: Its a start, but not grate.
William Furno: 6/10
Duncan Bulk The Build: The build is almost the same as Furno, so it is short and simple, giving him the same score 7/10: Easy but short
The Parts: Bulk has the most of the same parts, but a few differances. For one, his helmet looks like turaga Vakama's, his chest plate has a fighter jet fill, and his gun/arm is also pretty nice. But, like all of the heroes, his arms and legs do not bend. Speaking of arms, Bulk only has one. The other is just an oversise weapon, but luckly its a gun, not a blade. For the Build on Bulk, I give him 8/10: good style and somewhat more uncomonparts, but no flexible limbs.
Overview and Play: When put togather Bulk just simply looks awsome. His colors blend well and his chest plate makes him look like a true hero, but poseing can be hard, but not as bad as it is Furno. Furno has blades for a weapon, but Bulk has a gun, so all he has to do is point to look agressive, with Furno, your going to have to find another way. For the overview of Bulk I give him a 9/10.
Duncan Bulk: 8.5/10
Hero Factory Season 2Heroes:
Evo 2.0 The Build: The build was exciting, eventhough there still wasn't much to build. the reason it was exciting was all of the new parts. For the build, Evo gets a 9/10: Awsome and new, but that is also its down, unfimiliar.
The Parts: Evo is 100% new! Every small detail is either new or a difrent style from the past sets of hero factory and Bionicle. They seem to have decided to leave the old parts and move on from the Bionicle style parts. Yes, some look like old parts, but look closely and you will see they are not. Everything new from the body to the armor. For the Parts of Evo, he gets a 10/10: well down Lego!
Overview and Play: Evo is one sweet bot. With new FLEXIBLE limbs, he makes everyone forget the mistakes in the first sets in Hero Factory, and puts it in the right diretion. He is pretty good to pose, but his back is open and shows his insides. But that dosnt matter much because for the Overview and play of Evo 2.0, he gets a 10/10: The back dosn't make him look bad at all, you hardlly even notice it.
Evo 2.0: 10/10
Good job Lego
