[This is the second OOC thread for the Nerrone's Rangers RP. For the original, click here.]
Nerrone's Rangers: a small mercenary group operating in sector B-12, fourth spiral arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. Lead by a hard-bitten Arthinnil and a cunning rogue Mallium, this motley crew of soldiers, specialists and vagabonds travel the cosmos taking on any assignment: from burglary to assassination, for good cause or bad, for the money or for the kicks. If you can name it, they will do it... For the right price.
Things are brewing in this galaxy, and there is no-one better placed to see it than those who travel under the radar. A Coalition of allied empires fights tooth and nail to keep peace and justice alive in their corner of the galaxy, and a power known only as The Kingdom schemes its campaign of fire and conquest to take over. Caught in between is every innocent, every scumbag and every bounty hunter just trying to make his way in the universe.
Welcome to the Rangers.
As you can probably surmise from the short introduction above, this RP is a Spore-based sci-fi gig --
but if you feel for it, we also accept original characters from franchises other than Spore, so come one, come all! Rules
-All the usual rules of roleplaying apply here --
no godmodding or controlling other people's characters without their consent please, or I'll murder you.
-You may create a maximum of two characters. These can be characters you have created in Spore or an original character derived from a different sci-fi franchise or your own mind if you feel like it — just make sure that it is neither unfairly overpowered nor an existing character from a different franchise — including humans, if you like. Fill out the character sheet below (an image is not required) and post it here: if it qualifies then I'll add it to the OP and you can enter whenever you like.
-Roleplaying should only take place on the IC thread
, and only if you have first posted a character sheet here and had it approved.
-If you need to post out-of-character in the IC thread, do so in ((double brackets)) to prevent confusion.
-If either I or another player creates an NPC — who temporarily appears for one reason or another within the RP — they should be treated just as you would treat other player characters, including in combat (see below).
-Combat: This one I'd like to get straight right off the bat, so listen up!
When fighting a character that is controlled by someone else, including any NPC's, you should state your attack rather than stating that you hit them.
For instance, instead of "Alice punches Bob in the face, knocking him to the ground," consider: "Alice throws a punch
at Bob's face, attempting
to knock him to the ground." The second statement is better because A: it gives Bob the chance to make a post dodging, blocking or deflecting the attack to a different part of the body (or just straight-up posting his reaction to being punched in the face) and B: it states the potential consequences of the blow connecting, which is a useful guide for when Bob posts. The first statement does not give Bob such an opportunity and is classed as an 'insta-hit', which is a form of godmodding. Also it should be noted that Bob shouldn't dodge every
attack aimed at him: that would be as inconsiderate as insta-hitting. Which is godmodding. Which will end in me murdering you.
If you're confused, please feel free to ask a question --
I know I can be a little unclear sometimes.
-Always be considerate towards other players --
they want to have fun too.
-Enjoy yourself!List of Current Characters:

Equipment: (Try to cover everything you need here, including your armour. Try not to pull something out of your pocket that you don't specify here, or that you didn't state that you picked up earlier. Try not to be carrying around an entire arsenal of gear either, please. :3)Bio: (Give as much or as little info about your character as you like here. Images are strictly optional.)Strengths: (Don't go too over the top, you know the deal.)Weaknesses: (If anyone just puts "Allergic to cheese" here I shall be displeased. Because cheese is awesome. Try to balance your strengths and weaknesses equally.)The Lacuna
is a mid-sized smuggling vessel used by the Rangers to get them from place to place and as a de facto base of operations. Its floor plan and layout is something like as follows:The Lacuna looked about as hard-worn on the inside as it did on the outside — the interior could really do with a spot of paint and maybe a polish on the metal surfaces. There were several closet-sized bunk rooms along the port side for the crew to sleep in, on the starboard side a poky living area with a kitchenette, dining table and a bedraggled sofa in front of a holo-screen. Up front could be found the cockpit, the control center for the whole vessel. At the rear were the landing-ramp and the engineering deck, though most of the latter ran unseen below the main deck until it met the storage bay.Character Bios
mentally around 25.Race:
Solid slug-firing pistol, Malli Moonblade, tazer, visor-mounted field computer and survival supplies. Light, flexible custom armour.Bio:
Speaks like a noble, moves like an eel: Kwa spent a long time wandering the stars before co-founding the Rangers with Dagon. Though far from incapable of getting her hands dirty, she often prefers to take a back-seat in operations that don't call for her expertise, instead putting her efforts into planning and co-ordinating the group via comms.Strengths:
Speed and dexterity in combat, excellent strategist.Weaknesses:
Low physical endurance and light armour, particularly vulnerable to ranged attacks when not anticipated. Hates pickled eggs.
Heavy plasma pistol, customised pulse rifle, hunting tools. Heavy Arthinnil Extermination Exoskeleton armour.Bio:
Seasoned veteran of wars he refuses to name, Dagon began his unlikely partnership with Kwa a year ago when they met on a joint assignment on the fringes of Coalition Space, along with several other mercenaries. Though his description of the mission itself is vague one thing is clear: they were the only two to make it out alive. Some time afterwards they founded Nerrone's Rangers. Priding himself on being the brawn of their partnership, Dagon is an experienced soldier with instincts honed by years of firefights on war-torn worlds.Strengths:
Physical strength and endurance, years of combat experience.Weaknesses:
Slow movement and lack of useful close-combat weapons apart from the blunt end of his gun (hunting knife is too short and hard to reach for anything but a mercy kill).User:
Regular suit: Particle Shotgun, Dual 500 Smith & Wessons, Longsword. full metal armor underneath Formal Tuxedo.
Recon suit: Sniper Rifle, Knifes, dual pistols, light kevlar armor.Bio:
Near perfect aim due to his helmet's targeting system combined with steady hands, fast and agile for his age
Regular Suit: Lots of armor coverage, which can withstand a two point-blank shotgun blasts.
Recon Suit: Can move silently and aim ner perfectly; useful for stealth missionsWeaknesses:
Low pain tolerance; 2-4 bullets anywhere out of his kevlar suit's cover zone and he's down.
Regular Suit weakness: Lowered ability to move due to weaponry and armor burdening.
Recon Suit weakness: Low armor.User:
Unknown. Goes by "Ceria"Gender:
Machine body manufactured around 200 Terran years ago, memory implanted into it around 180 years ago.Race:
Dranth Artificial IntelligenceHomeworld:
Mild force movements similar to telekinesis, several shielding systems (radial one-way, personel and Mirror sheilding), Particle Bolt Launchers, organic and artificial repair nanobots. Bio:
All we know out of Dranth records is that a scientist, out of grief, put her dying wife's mind into a mechanical body intended for him so she could 'live on'. Ceria has refused to speak about her past, especially her human life to everyone. She's formed a partnership with Hitcam as a team member in his assassination business, and now that he's joined the Rangers, she's joining in as well.Strengths:
Can be a gigantic support in battle by providing radial one-way shielding, personal sheilding and mirror shields to reflect Laser weapons. Also produces nanobot healing efforts while still able to fire small particle bolts at incoming enemies. Best suited for two-man squad systems.Weaknesses:
Generally very weak in combat, armor plating is weaker than it looks, nanobots work slower than most others, and can't provide more than two shields at one time.
95 (In Satonian years, around 29 in human years)Race:
Natural body armour, 7mm Dual Blast Recon Pistol, Electro-pulse knife, Bomb-disarming equipment, a small toolkit containing; screwdriver, spanner and wrench. As well as some minor explosives (by which I mean for opening locks)Bio:
Chlor is patient and calm, never breaks a sweat. This is also his downfall as he never tries as hard as others.
He grew up on Sero's sister planet Saro. He suffered many hardships over the desolate terrain of his home.
At a mere age of 51, he joined the K-R division for the Satonian army, enlisting as a stealth agent. It was there he was awarded his favoured E-P Knife and never has he been on a mission without it.Strengths:
Ability to turn invisible for periods of time. Incredible stealth skills (e.g No sounds of his footsteps.) Good agility and skills with knives.Weaknesses:
Uses only very light weaponary. Vunerable to large explosions. Physically Weak.User:
Programmed with male voice.Age:
Manufactured near 20 years ago.Race:
Manufactured on Cerqullia (Serr-quill-ia)Equipment:
Several tools contained within head-dome/body dome, including an extendable hand/claw. A repulsor engine on the underside of the dome of Io keeps him afloat. Weapons include a charged outer shell, a light carbine by the left of the main optics panel, and small charges of different effect.Bio:
Ion was a scrapped military project of Cerin industries, located on planet Cerquillia, an abandoned military manufacturing plant. Ion therefore has a bitter and sceptical outlook upon the world, though when manufactured, he was programmed to learn, and to follow orders, and is in search for a master.Strengths:
Immune to poison, psionic attacks, and withstands much abuse to the outer shell. Near perfect aim, though the carbine is not all that powerful. Charged outer shell stops opponents with bare hands from grabbing and throwing or striking.Weaknesses:
Water, optimism, and often sticks out in society as a target. While Ion sports many eyes, his peripheral vision is terrible, and has difficulty in avoiding blows from the side. Further, due to his small frame, blows that connect knock him far out of place.
21 DLY (Roughly 63 Human Years)Race:
Electro Sword, Robotic Eye with vision filters (Night, Infrared, EMP,) Plasma/Bullet firing Pistol, Collapsing Plasma/Bullet firing Sniper rifle, various survival tools, natural natural toxic tail-barbs, Dark Leech Spec Ops armour.Bio:
After the Grox Purge as many called it, the dark Leech captain returned back to his original calling, small mercenary services, he dislike mention of that war and will often fall silent or go into a rage when he hears about it.Strengths:
An able fighter and commander, can use most weapons, agile, best at open combat.Weaknesses:
Headstrong and quick to anger to a fault, lacks a sense of stealth in thieving situations he'll always say "blow up half the building to get it", while he may be stronger that average for for his dark leech subspecies (desert) he's still rather upper-body weak compared to most. Caffeine addiction.
Small Cloaking Field with limited time recharges after awhile, enhanced eye sight, small Tesla Coils for limited electricity manipulation, Electric Daggers, speed enhancers, and spiked arm weapons with a non-lethal and lethal poison vial for them.Bio:
Even as a child Zalgon had an affinity for technology and, most worryingly, sharp objects... He was drafted to the Ganoid army at the Earth Age of 16, then was drafted to the Ganoid Army Special Ops at the age of 20. In an Ops mission Zalgon was framed for the death of one of his fellow operatives. He was dishonerably discharged from the Ganoid army and banished from the Ganoid homeworld sentenced with murder and treachery. Eventually he became attracted to the city planet Beta's shady side. Finding the best technological weaponry this side of the galaxy there he became a bounty hunter. Also with is love of sharp objects he sports around two spike like weapons on his hands. Zalgon is well known as the best stealth and infiltration operative money can buy.Strengths:
Very skilled at stealth and infiltration, and is sometimes a great strategist.Weaknesses:
Very un orthodox at times, easily provoked causing lack of stealth (Ex. charges at someone who he overheard talking about his mom.), very sensitive eyes the goggle doesn't just increase sight also protects from sunlight.
Small shockdagger, dual plasma pistols (battery limit: 20 shots), compact stealth module (mounted on chest, effects last upwards of thirty seconds, recharge time fifteen minutes), small backpack (contents: ten batteries for his pistols, a flashlight attachment,
Bio: Xol was born into the corrupt socialistic regime that had consumed Cethlos at that time. He had always been fascinated with technology, but cultural limitations had stopped him from indulging in this. He stowed away on an intergalactic cargo ship at a young age, and through a series of surprising escapades, he found himself on board the INRS (Intergalactic Nephid Research Station), a spacestation dedicated to advancing technology. Xol spent several years here, before he finally went rogue and used his new technology as a freelancing mercenary. He found out about Nerrone’s Rangers through Kwa, a long time acquaintance and friend.Strengths:
Can use stealth and shockdagger for critical strikes, skilled technician/engineer, good pilot, performs well under pressureWeaknesses:
Only four feet high, weak strength, relies on technology too much (arguable), no heavy weapons.
Wrist-mounted plasma blasters, grenades (some in backpack, some on belt across chest), a light shield generator (form-fitting, loses power after a few hits), light Virconium armor.Bio:
Grecsh comes from the O’onthos racial branch Zin, characterized by their love of destruction. Not much is known about his past, and he doesn’t like to talk about it much. Lack of money is what drove him to join the Rangers, which he found out about through Xol Til’ack, a friend and fellow merc.Strengths:
Highly skilled demo expert, has a very tactical mind, knows how to stay out of harm’s way.Weaknesses:
Likely to run from danger, no strong long-range weapons, vulnerable to high-powered or long-range weaponry.User:
Electro sword (I always use that), soldering gun, A few other minor technological stuff.Bio:
A very smart engineer, with an okay past, although my experiments became a bit...crazy, so I escaped and became a criminal, although I don't have many bad intentions, I was never quite the same.Strengths:
Puzzles, codes, computers, technology, building, and piloting Weaknesses:
I don't like killing and hate un-advanced stuff, plus, I'm not that good at hand to hand combat.User:
None, but referred to as a girl (See bio)Age:
In the RP I'm "building Lacuna (person) now."Race:
Semi-Robotic genetic avatar for the ship.Homeworld:
On the Lacuna (ship)Equipment:
Knowledge of all ship systems, retractable gamma lasers, ability to integrate with ship if permitted, eyes can scan heat, x-ray, gamma ray, and the other types of rays, skin that can over less time than normal people repair itself.Bio:
Quark, as an engineer, is always trying to inprove the Lacuna (ship). After a recent affair on Ariid (See IC), Quark was utterly unsuccessful in getting ship supplies. Back on board the ship, Quark was staring at a pile of metal, gears, computers, and genetic technology that Quark never used. Quickly, an idea sprung in his head. He assembled a skeletal structure for Lacuna (person) and hooked up the genetic technology. The ships data and specifications where transferred into "her". It would be a day's worth of growing to establish the techno-genetic skin's first layer, and a whole day alone for the brain (Connected to the neural data transceivers) to develop basic functions and emotions, plus a free will. Over all, a few days would mature Lacuna (person) to the state of free thinking and a personality. The name was chosen by Quark because Lacuna (person) had the entire ship's database down to the quibits (look it up :p), and her ability to integrate into the ship's systems with permission. She's a living representation of the Lacuna (ship). Strengths:
Regenerative skin and circuit nano-processing docks to repair certain amounts of technological damage. Able to pack a punch, can lift up to thee tons, and with (slightly oxidized) titanium frame.Weaknesses:
Technological, and has no interference protection grids, so can be hacked (with a good enough hacking system). Has some trouble understanding emotions and culture, can be used to steal info, can feel pain and does not enjoy it, and if the algorithms are tampered with enough, she'll listen to any command, and electric storms or electric temperament can partially disable her.
Two Plasma Pulsers (level 2), 2 sets of Bladed Knuckles, energy dampener (vaporizes weak energy weapons fired at him), steel daggerBio:
Gor'La Cerb was born to a wealthy Lynski family fifty-one years ago. After trying and failing to forge a life for himself on Lynskinar-I, he lost faith in the government and formed the Marin-Si'hu
, a resistance movement dedicated to toppling the current regime and establishing a military dictatorship in its place. After a violent conflict that lasted almost a year, the Marin-Si'hu
was defeated at the Battle of Aeris. Gor'La was believed dead by the Lynski High Command, but in truth he had actually cloned himself, then killed the clone and escaped his headquarters before it was captured. He made it out of the system by sneaking off on a cargo ship, and then blew it up to destroy evidence.
After the massacre at Aeris, Gor'La became a mercenary. One of his missions took him to Sector B-12, where he encountered the Rangers and eventually joined them. While he enjoys working with the Rangers, his true goal is to obtain the resources necessary to create a new Marin-Si'Hu
and pick up where he left off.Strengths:
Gor'La is clever even for a Lynski, and relies on his intellect more than his weapons. His energy dampener can dissipate energy beams (such as a Pulse Blast) fired at him. He is very well versed with technology, particularly firearms.Weaknesses:
The energy dampener is only effective at long range, and only works on energy weapons -- it can't deflect projectiles, shrapnel, or flames. Furthermore, his short stature and weak arms make him pretty much useless at hand-to-hand combat (though he does carry a dagger with him at all times, just in case).User:
Human (Well, mostly)Age:
Lemondedechire (Colony of Earth Empire)Equipment:
Modified SPAS-22 double-barrel fully-auto shotgun imported from Earth, Obsidiplex implants in arms and legs to decrease bone stress, full spinal replace with high-quality flex-core TitanSteel, robotic precision finger implants in both hands, two robotic eyes, cerebral teleLink, implanted Kevlar body armor, steel plating on head, dual-wield close-range pistols.Bio:
Born completely blind and at the age of seven both of her parents were killed in the uprisings, orphaned Louisa was left for dead. But her fortunes changed when someone came up to her and told her he could fix her eyes. Not caring whether or not this was a trap she followed. The man turned out to be a scientist capable of completely fixing her vision by supplying her with robotic eyes of his own design. They formed a very close relationship and for the first time since she could remember, Louisa was happy. But one day, the scientist's house was stormed by marines, drunk after winning a major battle and looking for some fun. The scientist did not survive. Having realized there was nothing left for her, Louisa fled the planet and got a name for herself as a hitman, mainly doing jobs for waring governments. After a mission where she fell from two hundred feet high, Louisa got her spinal implant. Fascinated by the bonuses this type of technology can grant, she started experimenting on herself, doing things from bone implants to having body armor inserted into her skin, Louisa started to become less human until she was what she is now.Strengths:
hard to injure, insanely physically strong (do to bone implants), able to make robotically precise movements.Weaknesses:
relies completely on tech, draws attention to herself if not properly disguised, some movement hindered by body armor.User:
Unkown (Although he has a personalty of a ten year old no one has any idea what age he is).Race:
Was outer space but now his new home is Earth.Equipment:
Doesn't own any weapons but has a rather nice collection of costumes.Bio:
Chalen had a bit of a rough start in life. Through childhood, he had been teased by other species just because he has grammer speaking problems. As he grew up, his hands start to grew ridiculos long sharp fingers. Now any creature that tried to make fun of him, Chalen would point to his sharp fingers as a threat and this would make most creatures back down and flee. Chalen is currently having a nice life and has tons of friends. But he yearns for an adventure of a life time.Weakness:
Tends to panic easliy, Doesn't always know how weapons work, is scared of fires and thunder, doesn't understand tech talk and hates it if he loses his necklace.User:
Taller then Chalen by 7 inches.Race:
Elvars (Nature Elf like race)Homeworld:
Assassian outfit and mouth mask.Equipment:
Bone Tusks Blades, Light armour, backpack filled with remidies and other stuff.Bio:
Bianca Vorpal has never fitted in with her own kind just because she is different. At the age of seven, she was trained to be a perfessional assassin but before that she had to do the one job that no one could do. Bianca had to retrive the Legendary Bone Tusk Blade which is stolen from by a creature of untold uglyness. Not being completly insane, Bianca had a companion to protect her while they made their journey to fight the ugly creature. Only Bianca had surrvied the fight and her companion sacrficed himself by killing both the creature but lost his life in the process. Even though Bianca obtained the Tusk Blades she mourned the loss of her companion. Few years later, Bianca became the best assassin the Elvars had ever had in eons. Despite her age, Bianca set out on a journey to see the worlds, steal and possibly kill things. Bianca had met a Space Sprite named Chalen after saving his life from a monstrous carnivours plant and on that day they became the best of friends. Bianca's goal is to help the innocents and possbily be more then friends with Chalen..Strengths:
Is able to run at high speeds when needed, is able to go completly invisible, understands and able to use advanced techno unlike Chalen. Likes to be a distraction to anything that tries to kill them and being risky. Weaknesses:
Heavy equipment if carrying even the one heavy thing, she'll be sluggish, cannot take powerful blows as she has a sturdy but weak body. Chalen (the idea of losing her only friend she ever had in her life). Being beyond risky.
33 human year equivalentsRace:
He wears heavy powered armour, that follows his movements with little effort, it has many sections which can be folded up or down when needed, yet much of his skin is often left bare. He carries a Quad-rocket launcher adapted from a Quad grenade launcher. He also has an eye targetter, and also carries a electrically charged combat knife, for last resorts. He also carries a self made, micro networking computer console in his left wristbandStrengths:
Very well versed in engineering and computing, knowing all well used programming languages, and being able to hack into the vast majority of security sytems. He is also a heavy weapons expert, and knowns about all robotic, and mechanical systems it is likely one will encounter on a battlefield. He is also quite sturdy and physically strong, as with all his race.Weaknesses:
He is xenophobic to a great extent, often mistrusting those of other races even those who have proven themselves trustworthy companions. he will often misregard their plans, and blame them for any incidents, making him a bit of an outsider, ironically. His plans while elegant are often difficult to execute and interpret, keeping him from a leadership role. Because of all his heavy equipment, he is very slow, and will slow everyone in his party down considerably. He is also very proud and stubborn leading him to make rash decisions when his ego is on the line.User:
Celdryc (Though he prefers to be called Shadow) Gender:
12,356 (Young for his race, about 20 in human ways of thinking) Race:
Dralaxia-9 (no longer exists, it's sun went supernova)Equipment:
Powerful stealth suit, Two energy daggers(concealed under the sleeves of his stealth suit),T-500 energy sniper MarkVI with silencer modification.Bio:
Celdryc's speceis live far longer than most, if not all, sentient life in the universe, making their lives very lonesome and depressing as they cannot have friends outside their own race, for they would outlive them by millenia. Naturally, many of them become mercenaries and assassins. Celdryc is known as one of thew best assassins out there, and even works in groups skilled enough for his tastes, despite they're short lifespans. Strengths:
Incredibly talented with a sniper rifle, Amazingly fast and quiet, Incredibly high tech stealth suit, minor technological knowledgeWeaknesses:
a few shots to the power source of his suit will put it in armor lock, immobilizing him; very poor in close combat without the element of suprise; rarely says more than a few words to anyone; Stealth suit's effects don't last forever.User:
Ganaranian Draconis Homeworld:
Mechanical arm, T20 Plasmatic machine gun, R2 rocket launcher,AA pulse lazer, wrist mounted plasma pulse blaster, various types of rockets(ammo for rocket launcher), High power shield generator, 2 EMP grenades, 5 Plasma grenades, 1 gravitational grenadeBio:
A powerful force, IO is a hero to his kind. He fought in an important war for his people, one that saved them from eternal slavery. He lost his arm in the war, which he replaced with a mechanical appendege. It is not truly an arm, but a means of using his weapons that lock into it. His normal arm has a wrist mounted blaster. He now works as a defender of his city, protecting it from all intrudersStrengths:
Incredibly powerful and tough, High powered weaponry, Powerful shield, does all he can to defend his friends in battleWeaknesses:
Weapons slow him down considerably, sometimes gets too into battles and becomes more obsessed with killing everything not on his team than whatever his current task is, horrible in close combat because all his weapons will also damage him if used at close range, His species take twice as long as most to heal, so if any serious damage gets through his shields it will severely weaken him.User:
Mentally 20 years oldRace:
Low powered semiautomatic machine guns that would be mounted on his arms and hidden under armor until needed, retractable medium powered arm-cannon, retractable visor and mouth piece, wrist blades.Bio:
During a fierce battle with a Decepticon, Crank received severe damage to his internal circuits disabling his ability to scan and transform into anything that required some sort of energy. Crank fled Cybertron to find some means of repair. Until he finds it, Crank can only transform into a steel crate.Strengths:
Skilled in combat, fast, very intelligent and specializes in stealth. Very courageous.Weaknesses:
Low armor, vulnerable during transformation, slightly vulnerable to electricity-based attacks, weapons don't deal a great amount of damage.
Around 400 years.Race:
A lightning blade well fitted for dealing with medium armored and light armored infantry, and a plasma pistol outfitted with a small missile launcher fit for dealing medium armored infantry. But, the pistol is ineffective at dealing with long-range targets.Bio:
After being outcasted from his own people, Talvox traveled from one planet to the next, on the run from his own species. Everyone tried to stop him from living, from Police officers to Military generals. He survived all of them, thanks to his custom-made combat armor, which can switch from heavy armor to medium armor. Now, in the Nerrones rangers, he finally has a home again.Strengths:
A body armor than can switch between heavy armor and medium armor. Weaknesses:
Light armored quick-footed soldiers, and in heavy armor mode, his reaction time and maneuvering are slowed down considerably.
40-50 Years Old.Race:
Custom Lightning blade, designed to penetrate armor, and his combat claw, which is integrated into his left arm's flesh. He also has a small 20mm pistol as a sidearm, outfitted to be also used for long-range combat.Bio:
Crycell was part of the GCG, but a rather powerful reason attracted him out of it. Having met Talvox, who'd been outcasted from his own people, they became great friends, shoplifting, robbing intergalactic banks, and such. Talvox and Crycell both have Lightning blades, but Crycell's was designed to penetrate armor, whereas Talvox's was made for melee combat. They both travel in a custom-made space-ship, the Talnazhon
His powerful custom Lightning blade, his strength, his heavy armor, and his high physical endurance.Weaknesses:
Slow maneuverability in his heavy armor, his custom lightning blade being rather heavy, making him an easier target for quick-footed infantry, and his low physical speed.
23 (Lyrawks are fairly short lived and live up to 70 years)Race:
he lives in a simple mech. This mech has the following gear: a small Plasma Pulser on the end of it's "tail". A Mini Happy Ray (for crowd control and hostage negotiation) mounted on it's generator. Metal wings giving him the ability to glide (but are two heavy to fly). The ability to shoot weak discharges of electricity from the mech's eyes. Negligible armor, but is fairly fast.
Bio: Unlike most Lyrawks Ariolimax 990,768,067,763,547,999,964 (Each Lyrawk family has it's own designated number) had a rough childhood as he lived in a distant colony. At the age of 14 he already was high-ranked in the political game of his colony, and was rising fast, by the age of 16 many believed he would become Governor of the colony. However, this was not to be, as Ariolimax left his colony at age 16. Ariolimax was correctly portrayed by his political catchphrases and slogans as being a "lover of adventure", and this was the reason he left his colony. He became a mercenary, and decided to join the Ranger's at age 22.
Sometime during his Mercenary career, he encountered a Vespinite known as Venys (pronounced vehn-ee-is). She was a mercenary as well, and a rabid conservationist. Ariolimax soon developed a dangerous passion for nature, mainly for it's difference from technology, a major part of his race. Ariolimax and Venys became partners, however they felt so strongly for their cause that even the most rabid conservationist groups wouldn't hire them. hey went bankrupt and when they couldn't repair their ship they were hounded down by a group of bounty hunters (no less criminal than the mercenaries themselves) and Venys was killed in the following raid.Strengths:
a calculating scientific mind. Skilled artist. A small aforementioned mech suit. The ability to survive with large amounts of poison gas (his species evolved this as they live in subterranean environments)Weaknesses:
he is completely defenseless without his mech-suit. Has a very soft body. Has more moral values than most other rangers. Has a restricted diet or roots and youtubers.User:
- VX-7 Laser Rifle : High Power Sniper Rifle, takes 5 seconds to charge after each shot and the battery can only handle 10 shots before needs replacing or recharging.
- VX-1 Pulse Pistol : Low Power hand weapon with a relatively short range. Takes 1 second to charge after each shot and can unleash 1,000 before the battery needs to be replaced or recharged.
- VX Battery Solar Charger : A small device that can charge a VX Battery pack in about an hour - can charge/hold two batteries at once.
- VX Battery : A backup battery for use in VX weapons (He has three in total, but the other two are currently in his weapons).
- (R)emote (D)igital (A)ssistant : A cross between a Smartphone and Tricorder : Can connect with any device that has the appropriate chip installed and exchange data.
- Steel Toe-Cap Boots : resistant to fire and mild acids.
- Kevlar-lined Canvass Ergonian Military Officer's uniform : Has 3 Silver buttons on each wrist of it to denote his rank of Commander 1st Class. It is good protection against solid small arms fire, but not against anything else.
- Ergonian Officer's Battle Helmet : Resembles a Fighter Pilot's helmet, made of Kevlar, Aluminium and Titanium. Includes an attachment that is similar to a helicopter pilots HUD that is linked to the RDA.
- Platinum Wrist Watch : Analogue, from Earth, set to the time on Ergenon VII.Bio:
Started his military career aged 20 as a Pilot for Ergonian Space Command. He saw action in the 4th Krayven War defending Outpost XIII, which was an important strategic location. He was however shot flying back into base by a Krayven Advanced Group and survived both the crash and managed to escape. This got him singled out for special forces assigment. After his six month training (by which time the war was over) he was assigned to the ENS Elite as a pilot. At this time the ENS Elite was involved in covert actions against The Krayven, where he demonstrated his skill as both a pilot and as a sniper. However, less than a year after the end of the war, The Krayven declared war on the Ergonian Empire again, and the 5th war begun. All action performed bvy the ENS Elite during the next 3 years is classified. He has now left the military, thoroughly bored of The Krayven.Strengths:

Ravis (Military FLAK cannon hybrid attachments)Homeworld:
When a Ravis is put in the military, they undergo surgery where a miniature FlaK cannon is installed on their shoulders, metal armour on their backs, and a cybernetic lens replaces their chest gems. Flank's equipment includes his FlaK cannon, which comes with an accurate scope and rotates in most useful directions, stealth helmet, an electric hand attack, metal plating on his back, and a jet boots. His cannon can fire standard FlaK precision rounds, shells, mortar bombs and plasma bolts. Every one of these types of ammo comes in boxes of 50 and Flank must reload them manually if he wants to fire them. His clip can only take one type of round at a time, so he can only fire what he has loaded at that moment.Bio:
Flank just loves guns. If he didn't, the FlaK cannon mounted permanently on his right shoulder would drive him crazy. A vaguely short temper won't win him the 'guy of the decade' award, but he generally is nice. Being a very well respected admiral of the Ravis military does have its rewards, so long as you aren't caught soliciting Gothahlic hookers while on duty at a peace tour of Ellismiron. Ex-admiral Flank can usually be found in his quarters trying to fine tune his ammo stocks, gun, scope lens, armour and intercom ring tone.Strengths:
The Ravis are a strong race, but they have hindering qualities. They don't have eyes, for starters, but a translucent gem in their chest refracts light into a retina-like organ directly behind it. The Ravis are very compact, in almost every physical aspect: their bones are dense, their skin is thick, their muscles are packed tight, even their blood is viscous. Because of this, they are very strong, but their physique belies that. He is an accurate shooter, thanks to the scope on the plate of his FLAK cannon. The Ravis are resilient, so he can take quite a few hits. Since he is constantly close to a very loud weapon, and since he lacks retinas, flash-bang grenades have little effect on him. He can rotate his cannon around to shoot behind him while running the other way.Weaknesses:
The Ravis aren't big, when their wings are folded, but when you have a cannon on your shoulder you become a large target. Flank's metal implants conduct electricity, so even if his armour can absorb electric based attacks and transfer the energy into his armour battery, they have a huge effect on Flank. Flank has a short temper, so he can't take aggravating situations for long.
Since his little mishap on Ellismiron, Flank doesn't cope well around women, especially when they begin to flirt. This causes him to lose his nerve.
She has armour on most of her body. On both wrists she has three, sharp claws that exude intense heat and energy when used to attack. On her left arm is a dual grenade launcher. It can fire two small grenades individually before needing a good reloading, used as a standalone weapon or a secondary attack when holding another weapon. This usually is her rifle which she keeps slung across her back due to its length. This rifle is large and accurate, but doesn't come with a scope, but just an iron sight. The clips are cylindrical and fit into the front of the stock.Bio:
Samantha is a piece of work. She usually speaks with sarcasm and snark to anyone who doesn't rank higher than she does. She works as a mercenary in one of many small mercenary organisations, based in an underground network of hallways and pump rooms. She was once hurt by a grenade, and a few shards of shrapnel became stuck in her body and their toxins changed some of her yellow-hued skin to black. It also changed the gem-like stone in her chest (previously a lustrous gold) to deep, jet black.Strengths:
Her forearms are mostly natural, bone shells that protect the blood vessels and nerves inside. These are very dense and can block most short-range attacks from sharp weaponry. Likewise for her lower legs and flat, wide hooves. Her body is slim enough for her to be competitively flexible in tight spaces, even if her arms can get in the way. Although she does not own one, she is trained to use a range of polearm weapons. She can speak a second language that is widely understood by anyone who has a set of pincers or mandibles, like the Ravis or Arthinnil.Weaknesses:
She isn't armoured everywhere. Most of her thighs are exposed and a marginal area of her upper back is protected. The parts of her body that aren't encased in an exoskeleton have a higher concentration of nerve endings, so she feels pain at an increased threshold in those areas. Her hooves make loud noises when she walks on firm surfaces, so unless she wears cushions underneath them or walks very slowly, she can't move quietly, reducing her effectiveness in stealth missions. Her race is obsessed with gold and other such metals. Even though she can detach herself from it better than the rest of her race, she can be distracted by a large enough quantity of it. Because she is very proud, she sometimes does not think things through and thus says and does things she shouldn't.User:
Rhak has an armor composed of light metals, since he breathes an atmosphere with little oxygen. He therefore has a gasmask, which has tinted glass visor. Rhak's weapons are a pistol shooting high-velocity slugs and two daggers: One hidden at the right wrist, the other stocked in a holster on his left shoulder.Bio:
Being a veteran from several wars and battles, Rhak's name is actually a codename used by Acheen Commandoes. Having served in the Acheen army under their civil war as a Commando, Rhak knows how to handle most projectile weapons. He deserted when his whole squad was wiped out when his own home refused to send help. He was known to have an own mercenary band but disbanded it; "for their best". His experience lays in sabotage, espionage and undercover. He have only a few times been in open warfare. Working as a Bounty Hunter or "Agent for Hire" Rhak traverse the known space in hunt for the men responsible for his squads death and an attempted murder on Rhak himself.
He have developed a philosophy based on interference. If Rhak interferes, he has no right to kill consciously. If someone interfere Rhak's work or mission, Rhak has the right to use anything necessary to complete his goal.Strengths:
Being incredible agile and swift, Rhak is hard to hit and is an expert on hand-to-hand combat. He is also reinforced with cybernetics, making him tolerant to high falls.Weaknesses:
Because of his thin body structure, Rhak is easily hurt through his thin armor. He can also suffocate or hurt if his suits gets damaged, since oxygen is toxic to Acheen's.User:
A good suit and advanced shielding technology.Bio:
Aleon Faw was born on the neutral planet of Herration, in the multi-cultural city of Dherav. A gifted student with a high sense of tactics and strategists he was offered a post in espionage. Not being in the field, except during diplomatic discussions between governments or other organisation he has no military training and therefor never gets involved with the operations.
After being fired, Aleon has given his plans for sale. Still, he is only known by a small number of people in this sector of the galaxy. Rhak is one of them.
Aleon looks like every other Zeenor, with four fingers and toes, pale skin, a neck that is double as long as a humans and snake like eyes. The rest of the body is similiar to that of a human.Strengths:
Intellegent, calm and ruthless. A master tactician and strategist, his most powerfull weapon might be the large net of contacts he has, scattered all around the galaxy.Weaknesses:
Because of his lack of field experience, Aloen is useless in combat. He also have a low pain level.User:

Hybrid Combat Armor* w/ Advanced Stealth Cloak, DestianEX Tech Model VX120 'Ruthless' Plasma Assault Rifle, DestianEX Tech Model DX510 Silenced Plasma Pistol and dual-wielding peridium plated combat knives.Bio:
While Zeriax was an infant, he lived in his homeworld Jendia-II. Zeriax witnessed war in his galaxy --Nestax-II--, his homeworld tried to evacuate but his home planet was destroyed to nothing but dust. Zeriax and a small ship worth of citizens were only saved by the attack.
Once Zeriax matured together with his horrid past he went rogue. He did part time jobs which involved somebody getting assassinated. Zeriax got involved in terrible political whiplashes with the assassinations that he started working for nobody but himself.Strengths:
He's an expert in stealth. His stealth cloak allows him to be invisible to the naked eye, radar and thermal vision. He is an excellent close combat fighter.Weaknesses:
He's only completely invisible in sight when he's standing still. While in movement it looks like the environment is distorted. When in a open-fielded battle zone with multiple hostiles he can easily get overwhelmed.User:
Grensik Otto (Commonly known as "Grey")Gender:
None, born on deep space outpostEquipment:
Heavily modified SV-92 Medium Corpsman armor, NPF-1 Prototype armor mounted medical suite, Armor mounted missile launcher, jump jets, wrist mounted tactical knife, 2 SV-347 Bolt Pistols, Custom made "healing warhead" rockets, a large range of cybernetic enhancements.Bio:
A freelance bounty hunter "contracted" by a large intergalactic research company, Perzcka, he quickly became the test subject for a deranged scientist working within the weapons research wing of the corperation. He was subjected to dozens of painful operations as he became the "platform" for a new generation of cybernetics enhancements, giving him phenomenal reaction time, intelligence, and situational awareness. After he was properly "augmented," he was placed in a squad with other test subjects, which was tasked with completing missions deemed to difficult, or unethical for any other armed force. Their services were provided to the highest bidder
He performed his role as a medic quickly and effictively with the assistance of a prototype armor-mounted medical system, which was capable of diagnosing and treating wounds without any User assistance, as well as providing up to date intelligence on his current mission. He quickly began making his own enhancements to his equipment, adding armor mounted missile launchers, jump jets, and even a system that uses the gas buildup from his pistols to enhance his armors functions.
However, the nature of his work quickly left him scarred, both physically and mentally. He and his squad began ignoring direct orders, and even refusing to complete assigned missions. Perzcka has now "disbanded" his squad, detaining his partners, and holding him until he is again, "fit for duty."
He is now planning his escape from a detention center in the Engineering district of Las Thaddas.Strengths:
Phenomenal reaction time and resourcefulness, talented medic, decent fighter at mid-rangeWeaknesses:
Mentally unstable, as a result, he is prone to outbursts of anger, hampering his judgement. He is also not very strong physically, limiting his capabilities in close combat, his stamina is also relatively low due to the weight of his equipment. He has noted loyalty issues, not truly trusting someone until he deems them to be "worth his time," all armor functions also put stress on his suits generator, resulting in heat buildup. Enough heat and his suit will completely shut down. The armor mounted healing suite also requires hit to remain completely stationary to function, and produces a lot of heat. He can not perform a support or combat role at the same time, once he begins his armor lockup, he will most likely stay in that state for the duration of the fight.
Unknown, Psych eval suggests a youthful mind.Race:
Flexible and light armor, Malli Moonblade, Balanced Throwing Daggers, two Stiletto daggers, pair of curved knives, shield-disabling pistol, flashbangs and smoke grenades, Silent One visor with (almost) all the hidden tricks that come with it, stimulant.Bio:
An assassin for the infamous Silent Temple, Cobalt's initiation was like many other initiates. With all the sweat, blood, getting mantras drilled into his mind, and psychological indoctrination that was a part of it. Over time, something didn't click in all the mantras, the creeds, the indoctrination. He did his missions as assigned, but squad-mates noted him striking out on his own. The mission still got done as efficiently as they were supposed to, of course, but not the way they were planned. Eventually on a mission, Cobalt did something none of his squad-mates thought he would do, he went rogue. Cobalt waited until his squad-mates were separated, than he took care of the loose ends to his escape. He tripped the alarm systems to attract security. First of his former colleagues to die was killed by a hail of bullets and plasma bolts meant for Cobalt, the second was killed by Cobalt's own blades, the final was captured by security and killed as soon as they ran. After all of his former squad-mates were killed, Cobalt severed his visor's connection with the Silent temple, and ran.Strengths:
Armor is more protective then the armor worn by most Silent Ones, good with all of his blades, Agile and stealthy, prehensile tail, Being a Silent One Cobalt possesses incredibly high reflexes, Stimulant grants far higher reflexes and strength, blades can cut through most armor.Weaknesses:
Almost useless in ranged combat aside from throwing knives, pistol is only good for taking out shields otherwise its energy pulses are harmless if painful, Armor is still relatively weak compared to other armors and is slightly noisier then the armor used by the Silent Ones, almost emotionless in personality, stimulant use leaves him with a splitting headache and physically drained.
