Warframe is a new (currently open-beta) free-to-play four-player co-operative action game where the players take the role of space ninjas. I've been playing it for a couple of weeks now, as have a handful of others, and it's been great fun — all I've actually paid real money for is some extra paints, because I was getting a bit tired of the defaults and I can excuse the expense as a way of supporting the developers for making a game I'd already played about 40 hours of at that point.
As it's a Beta we can expect a lot more updates in terms of new maps, equipment, bosses and mechanics, and from their last livestream I heard that in the next update, termed the 'Clan' update, clans will be able to cooperate in building a group 'dojo' of some kind, which sounds really interesting.
If you're interested in giving it a go, you can find it on Steam here — post your in-game username on this thread or via Steam and I'll send you an invite to the GAC's Clan.

Rhino would say something similar but HE'S NOT READY YET BECAUSE A FLIPPIN BOSS REFUSED BLUEPRINTS FOR LIKE 80 BATTLES.

From the Warframe wiki, in the article about the Bo:
"A two-handed, reinforced staff, that can send multiple enemies airborne." –In-game Description
"Is a fashion statement." –Opinion about it's stunning qualities.
Also, Delta, Tala and I are nearing the completion of our second warframes (Ash, Rhino, and Ember, respectively). Once we've all obtained them (AKA, once Tala gets enough rubedo to finish his helmet), it would be a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in trying out the game to join us on some earlier levels. :P I, for one, will be trying to get myself to a point where I'm starting with a completely fresh loadout with unleveled weapons (well, almost unleveled. I wanted to take the Afuris out for a spin...) and a brand new frame. And I'm sure any of us who would be using our regular weapons would be willing to take off our mods to even the playing field even more.
Oh also Ash looks like he has a headcrab on his head teehee

I am the prettiest princess and y'all better remember that. >:D
But yeah, it's a simple enough matter to remove the mods from one's weapons to level the playing field — the warframes themselves are the only things which actually increase in power (health, shields, energy cap) as they level; otherwise each level affords you a new 'mod slot' for the frame or weapon, which can be used to install enhancements.
@Drago: Yeah, well I'll just build myself this alternate helmet I have h— oh wait I don't have Ash's alt helmet blueprint just the one for Ember I got from an alert while you were sleeping.

Downloading it right now. I'm probably going to start with Mag unless the wiki lied to me about her being a starting frame, then I'd be going with Excalibur.
EDIT: Started with Mag and my user name is ViralN9.

Ash and Ember (AHAHAHA THAT'S FUNNY) have finished being built, and Rhino is on its way. Here are some pics. :3
We should all be up for trying them out sometime Sunday afternoon.

@Naboo: I've sent you an invite to the GAC's clan; you can find it in the clan tab of your contacts list. Joining the clan gives you the ability to instantly hop into another clan-member's game (right click their name and select the option from the drop-down) without having to add them one by one to your contacts list, and gives you access to the clan chat (we haven't used it much yet, but it's there!). Feel free to drop any of us a line if we're on.

I certainly made the connection, but never decided to say anything about it. And woot, Rhino has like, 2 days left before it's completed! Also, neither of you have spent any Platinum? Interesting. (At least not any of the default platinum given.) eheheh i have only 2 platinum left

So update 7.8.0. Here's what stuck out to me.
-Two new weapons; curvy power gauntlets and a rapid fire assault rifle. Both seem to have enough downsides that they're not worth checking out.
-New aesthetic Sentinel attachments. Right now, Jad will be the only one effected by this. Go make Shade the purtiest thing this side of Ceres. :3
-Up-down markers on the mini-map to located objectives on different floors. Jad and I ran into an issue with this earlier, as the last enemy in an extermination mission was stuck on the top level of a very tall tile. Took a good few minutes of searching to find it.
-Credit reward scaling based on AI level. This I'm very happy with. It felt kinda cheap to be getting 1000 credits for soloing the first mission of the game, and then getting the same amount for a more advanced mission. I'm curious to see how much this scale accounts for. Also, the amount of credits you can get from alerts has gone up. I saw two alerts for 3-4k on my twitter feed.
-Aborting missions NO LONGER gives you blueprints, mods, resources, or credits. I've taken advantage of this skip once or twice when I was grinding for large amounts of resources, but I understand why they changed it. This puts a bigger emphasis on finishing the mission rather than quitting or failing, as you'll lose everything from that mission otherwise.
-Cronus has a much lower chance of dropping from Vor for every time you fight him after the first battle. So basically, no more easy money by farming these things! But it shouldn't matter with the scaled credit rewards we're getting on later levels. :P
-Only other interesting thing to note is that the AI is now much less likely to get stuck in inconvenient places. I.E., no more stuck hostages in Rescue missions!
Side-note: I hopped in-game and clicked on "Buy Platinum", and discovered that it no longer brings up the Steam overlay, but instead opens a new window in your default browser taking you to the Platinum page. However, warframe.com is down right now. :/ Kinda interesting, considering that I just had a long conversation with Support about issues I had with buying Platinum using Steam.

Jad there's this thing called "having too much fun".
You've mastered it.
Anyway, I'm really interested in what that video is hinting at. I just hope I can get my computer fixed in time to find out...

is there a problem with being less cowardly then everyone else on this thread?? I chose him BECAUSE I knew that no one else has dared to touch him so far.
....or are you just jealous because I'm the only one who gets to be a walking hammerhead shark? :o

No.
Actually I said good luck because he was the I originally chose, and he was also the reason I made a second account so I could choose a different starter.
Also because I have used him as a starter, I say good luck because I know you'll need it.

This latest update harks of some of the events seen in ME3's multiplayer:
Quote :
- New "Operations" global challenge system.
- New Corpus enemy type: Fusion MOA.
More on this on the launcher (which I can't directly copy/paste from). Unfortunately for everyone with low-level frames this is taking place on Europa, on which all enemies are levels 15-25.
Also:
Quote :
- Snipetron now has Armor Piercing damage by default, but with a slight increase to recoil.
>:D
Quote :
- Corpus Crewman head shot armor piercing multiplier reduced.
>:U

TO ANYONE WITH A PARIS: Once the shields are down a fully charged shot to the back will instantly kill the Fusion MOAs.
EDIT: FINALLY GOT ALL THE PARTS FOR A NEW FRAME!

Hi guys,
Just to let you know, I also chose loki as a starting class cause the powers reminded me of the spy on TF2.
