How has the Sporum been holding up? Is it still pretty active? It's been so long since I've been there and I'm afraid to go back.

You do know that wouldn't happen if you didn't act so butthurt about people not liking furries and instead consider other people's opinions... Right?

Were the trial alts the things that the mass downraters used to plague the many good creators of the spore community?

Honest for god, from what I've seen from the arguments, it's not their fault...

And I'm pretty sure that was the case, yes. I think they also contributed the case of crappy creations being rated up to the top of the MP list.

Well, crossing oer to the Sporepedia, the MPN is still being plagued by numerous crappy creations. Then again, everyone stopped caring about the MPN a while ago. But I don't think the spamming is as bad as it was before. I'm assuming that's what you meant by trolling.

You can't get away from the trolls, ever.

I can safely say I am one of the only people here that can tell you exactly whats going on and give you the right view of the situation.

The trolling you once experienced is gone entirely. I know exactly what your talking about because I went through that stage in 2009 and it was pretty annoying. None of that ever happens. However they have kinda been replaced by some stupid people posting incredibly stupid stuff. Thats the problem I have with the current "generation" of users on the sporum. Most of these kids are really really dumb, not at all like here. They will go around posting really unrelated and poor posts. I wont name any but it only takes a peak in a few threads to tell.

Alts were disabled on the sporum recently by the new community manager maxis kyle and people can no longer troll or mass spam with alts. I discovered through my own experiments among my members at BAU that there is an exploit and you can work around the block, so its not 100%. But its very unlikely people know about the exploit let alone how to work it. Still some spam, but its usually deleted before anyone notices.

Things have really changed on the Sporum recently, things have become more calm and thats for the better. However for those of us that have been there for years I cant help but feel its more like a shadow of its former self, its not as fun as it used to be, but thats because we are not going around trolling other people for fun. Among other reasons the old days of it are long gone, thats both for beter and worse.

Its starting to get dull for me in particular, maybe you will enjoy it more? I don't know. The clubs seem to be the only things keeping me interested. Perhaps the discussions about spore will interest you? Or the science threads? Its not exactly varied in its range of topics.

Go back if your inclined, you wont be trolled to death.

Anyway, I think they've only called me "furry scum" one or two times but they mainly just call me immature.

And the trolling and spamming on the Sporum is almost dead. We mainly only get Sharpy and one or two trial alts that manage to break through from time to time nowadays.

Anyway, I think people should forget about the MPN and play the game for what it is. It's just a competition to be Mr. Popular.

Also, if furries don't want to insulted/trolled they should stop being so proud about being a furry and 'showing it off'. That's just my opinion really.

Being proud of a fandom is stupid. All fandoms suck. Some more than others, yes, but they all suck.

It also strikes me that the more you respond to Sean, the more he is going to "counter-troll" you, playing off of the fact that he supposedly likes to be trolled.

Yes... I can excuse most of the spamming that went on, but his spamming, specifically the po-WEWON'TGOTHERE, along with the repeating audio clips, was just too much for me.

SporeMasterPwn/SqoreMasterPwn/5poreMasterPwn was a spammer who posted annoying images en masse, often accompanied by a repeating sound file, i.e. the "screamer" or "the pirate song". Annoying as hell if you ask me, but he's gone now.
