Location : Well, if i were to tell you that i was a Quantum Particle, and that i know exactly my speed then that would make my location incredibly uncertain, and lying anywhere within a range of differing values, none of which can be confirmed without interfering with my unpredictable quantum state. Bet you wish you didn't ask now.

++I'm posting this on my phone++

So I'm partway through a story adventure and i need some tips on how to make a single act puzzle where you use a key to shut down a terminal, and then this lets you use two more keys to shut down another terminal which then allows you to shut down a mainframe. The three shutting down things will be examine building goals. This will all be in a large circular room with a circualar walkway gantry above it.

Anyone with any ideas on exact mechanics for making this i would be grateful, cos i'm fairly stuck on it. It'll require gates and messenger creatures i know that much.

I know that no-one really does adventures anymore but all of you will have experience in making adventures and i figured one of you might know. Any ideas will be appreciated.

1. Make your three keys. I'll use red keys as an example.
2. Go into the building creator. Make a computer terminal.
3. Now, make a different building using the same computer terminal. This time, make a wall separate from it. Make three versions so that the terminals are in different locations relative to the wall.
4. In your adventure, disguise a red gate as any version of the wall w/ terminal. Place the wall in an area you want to restrict access to, and have the terminal just wherever you want.
5. Repeat step 4 with the two other versions; make it so the wall is overlapping three times and the terminals are in different locations.
6. Use the original terminal object (by itself) and place it over each of the terminals connected to the wall so they're overlapping.

Results:

- Every time you take a red key to one of the terminals, one of the overlapping gates will disappear, but the terminal will appear as if it's still there.
- Once you bring a key to each terminal, the entire wall will disappear so you can get through, but the terminals will still appear to be there.

Once you're done with all that, you can put your mainframe thing behind the wall. I hope it helped.

Personally, I'd do the same trick as Gelo with the terminals, except you hide a white key behind the third terminal, and this key allows you to go into the terminal.

Of course, if you did that you may have to make each terminal have a different key...
