At this point, the Aegraa could barely hear Rhak's words over the roar of bloodlust welling in his head. He swiped viciously at Talvox with one huge hand as the Taldixark approached, and bellowed at Rhak.

"I'LL CUT OUT YOUR GIZZARD YOU WHELP!"

Quark had been awake long enough to hear 'Cuna fall, but he felt much too bad to get up. He also knew that they both would need medical attention soon, even though 'Cuna could partially regenerate tissue, a burning severed hand (Well, 90% Severed at this point) was different. He could barely feel his arm past the burning pain, but because he was not getting blasted by the Armodie, he felt safe to stand (If you could call it standing) and look around. Fighting, explosions, Armodies, Team B, and a lot of danger. This seemed like a delay that would last enough longer for Quark and 'Cuna to not be missed, hopefully, otherwise accomplishing the mission might be delayed even longer. Quark stumbled to the panel they where going to try to hack before, well, all the chaos happened, and began hacking through the files. Before he could get to "Communications" on the computer screen, the Armodie previously wielding the plasma cutter trudged up behind Quark. The Armodie was full of rage and hate, he seemed very ready to use his fists to kill Quark, but Quark was ready for it, and tried to hit the Armodie and fully disable his environmental suit.

Quark's attack, had the Armodie been completely healthy, would have earned no further reaction than a scornful laugh and a rather unsporting kick to the groin. However, when Quark hit him in his injured arm it brought two things to light in the Armodie's dim little brain:
1. He was wounded and outnumbered, and mostly by people bigger and more heavily armed than himself.
2. None of his comrades were looking in his direction at the moment.
3. He had left the oven on in his apartment... or something.

With these facts laid out neatly in his head, he took the most logical course of action: Baring his teeth at Quark one last time, he leaped out of reach, cradling his injured arm, and ran away from the fight as fast as his little legs could carry him.

The Aegraa just barely missed Talvox, but it whacked his already somewhat broken hand, meaning it broke his hand even more than it was before. It threw off his attack to try and grapple it, so he landed on the ground, some 5 feet away from the beast. Crycell was still unconscious, due to the gas tank that just exploded on top of him.

The Aegraa's rage was exactly what Rhak had expected. When you have dealt with criminals, mercs and thugs for a long time you recognize the kind that doesn't want to get fooled around.
Now more calmly Rhak answered the battle howl:
"Don't call me a whelp. I've delt with bigger and tougher guys than you."

This was in fact true. Rhak had been able to take down a very large crime boss under one of his undercover missions. She had been twice the size of the Aegraa.
As Rhak prepared for the Aegraa to rush towards him, he continued to play arrogant, hopefully driving the mechanic mad.

The Aegraa charged Rhak, blinded by the red mist that had enveloped his brain, fueled by the pain of the numerous wounds he bore and his profound annoyance at his two Armodie companions who, so far as he was concerned, had completely failed to back him up. As he approached his quarry, he reached out to grab Rhak in a bear-hug and lift him off his feet.

The blow had some real power behind it, and the Aegraa was sent stumbling two steps to the right before he could control his momentum and turn back to face Rhak once more. Perhaps one of his ribs were broken. Maybe two. He didn't feel anything in his body but the urge to rip the nearest living thing into pieces with his bare hands. He threw a punch at Rhak's chest with his left hand.

Rhak went to the side, having the hand flying past him. He then took a grip around it bending it towards the Aegraa itself by using the power from the intended punch.

The three shots the soldier fired glanced hopelessly off the metal plate on Flank's back. As soon as his charge came to a halt, Flank grabbed the soldier's arm in his right hand, his rifle in his left and spun around to face the last two of his attackers, using the soldier as a meat shield.
He leveled the rifle in his left hand under his shield's arm, aimed at the soldier on his left and fired. The accuracy was much better. But something else happened: his FLAK cannon came online again. Immediately Flank brought it over his shoulder, twisting and gyrating, to face the guard on his right.
With both guns aimed, he fired them, one at each guard.

((Delta, these are FLAK rounds I'm firing. These guys should be exploding into fountains of blood Happy. ))

"AND STAY OUT!" Quark found himself saying, but after he silenced, he noticed no one noticed, which he was happy about. He quickly tapped into the communication towers and began setting up a secure network that would be un-detectable by anyone watching for tactical transmissions...in other words, un-detectable by anyone. He quickly found the Lacuna and Bor's ship on a secret (Not anymore) Neutrino based radar. Not knowing much about Bor's ship, Quark began to arrange for slight, almost unnoticeable neutrino fluctuation that would mask Quark's call. Before he finished anything though, he noticed 'Cuna behind him. She could have been better...way better, she looked tired, angry, and dizzy. She had a lot of scratches and cuts and bruises. Her clothes where torn up, and her hand, well, lets not get into that.
"You trying to..." She panted, "...call...the...Lacuna?"
"Yes, I am. I'm going to try to either get help or get you teleported out of here." Quark said
"The...Ship is in...bad shape, I can tell. Plus, the...ship doesn't have...Transporters."
"I know that but I have a brain, I can figure things out." Quark pointed out.
Bing! The neutrinos had been reset. Hopefully no one would notice, Quark knew they'd really have to be watching systems carefully to see anything wrong.
That's when he tried calling the Lacuna.

The movement of Flank's cannon was enough warning for the two remaining soldiers to abandon their offensive strategy and hit the deck: By the time they got there, however, neither of them had shields. One of them didn't have a head.

((Charges in place: 2/7. Enemies at large: 8 + 1 in Flank's grip.))

There was no response to Quark's transmission. The Lacuna's communications device lay dormant in the ship's cockpit, intact but unattended as the wasteland wind howled through the holes in the ship's hull.


The Aegraa grunted as his arm was bent painfully against his will... and then began to fight back against the force Rhak was exerting. The motion of the mechanic's arm ground to a halt, and there followed an extended moment of perfect equilibrium, neither of them gaining the upper hand. Then, like the world's most sluggish metronome, the movement reversed as the creature's smoldering berserker rage began to overwhelm Rhak's cybernetic implants, one centimeter at a time.

At the same moment, he kicked out at Rhak's legs, attempting to destabilise the Acheen's footing enough that he could break free of the hold completely.

No response was a bad response, Quark thought. Their only other option was calling the other ship, which Quark was a bit afraid of, but he opened a new transmission to Bor's ship. Was Quark forgetting something? A signal about jam? Jelly jam? He didn't know. He called Bor's ship reluctantly.

Chalen grabbed some plasma grenades carefully not dropping them from his backpack. He did not notice that a frag grenade had sailed passed over his head while taking cover. There was about just enough for a small group like Team A. He began to toss them one at a time while yelling "Heads up!" also making sure they heard Chalen rather then letting one hit their heads. Just as Chalen came to the next grenade, he saw Flank being ganged up on by the guards who were more then just mad.. Chalen focused on their enemies and took aim. He needed the right moment to toss it and make sure Flank is well out of the way. Chalen yelled over the alarm noises only for Flank to hear him say, "Get back!".

What the Aegraa did was one of the most stupid things to do against Rhak. Years of martial arts and decades of espionage, sabotage and infiltration experience made Rhak hard to destabilise.
But the large mechanic succeeded, but not as it had expected.
Instead of continuing to press against the Aegraa, Rhak used the kicks to his legs as a starting point.
When one of his legs got kicked, Rhak spun towards his right side(Aegraa's left) and at the same time stopping to resist, leaving an empty hole(so to speak) where the Aegraa had pushed against.

Rhak took the hit to the side. His armor and cybernetics absorbed most of the force, but he still got hurt gasping for air.
Rhak countered with a fast jab towards the Aegraa's side, followed up by a swoping kick against the Aegraa's feet.

Still off-balance, Rhak's latest attacks finally brought the Aegraa off his feet — his hulking form toppled almost in slow motion, like a tree falling in the forest, before finally slamming face-first into the ground. The mechanic let out a low grunt of pain, some of the bloodlust dislodged by the impact. Quickly, however, he attempted to engage his arms and push himself back onto his feet.

Celdryc scrambled to the third red pipe and quickly placed the charge, avoiding the carnage of the battle. Three down, four to go. After running around for a short while, the fourth pipe came into view on a wall, with several other pipes covering nearly all of it. In an attempt to make a place where he could place the charge, he began slicing off a section of one of the pipes with his energy dagger.

IO found the situation amusing, the large Aegraa being beaten by the small form of Rhak. He thought about helping finish off the brute, but decided not to ruin his entertainment.

As Flank concentrated his firepower at the last of his assailants, he heard the voice of the blue sprite from across the room. "Get back!"
Flank swiveled his cannon around to get a look at what the commotion was about. The sprite was holding a plasma grenade.
What are you going to throw it at? Flank wondered.
Flank took another look at his still unharmed attacker. He was lying right next to the other soldier that had received a shot to the shoulder and thus was lying low.
Two birds with one stone...
Then Flank had an idea. Done with his broken meat shield, he pushed it out of its grip, then raised his leg and pushed it out in a front kick to the soldier's already cracked chest, sending it toward the two soldiers.
Make that three.
As soon as the soldiers were clustered together, Flank broke out into a run towards the sprite's position, yelling: "Throw it!"
It was better that Flank let the sprite finish them off; he didn't carry much ammo in his cannon's clip.

Rhak was quickly to press down the Aegraa with his foot at the mechanics neck.Through his mask Rhak said in a mechanical disoriented voice;
"Lay still if you don't want to end up like your comrades."

The Aegraa flailed ineffectually for a few moments longer, but as the pressure on his neck increased he finally complied, the last of his bloodlust slowly ebbing as he choked.

As Celdryc sliced open the pipe — an old, rusted thing that hardly looked like it was even in use anymore — a corrosive, foul-smelling black liquid spurted out towards his face. Whatever this pipe had once been used to transport had clearly had many years to stew and condense into a disgusting mixture of toxic substances.


Meanwhile, Flank's move out of cover attracted the attention of the other soldiers, and several of them opened fire on him.

Rhak looked around and found his pistol laying in th middle of the "bridge". Without risking to release the now beaten Aegraa.
Rhak looked around and screamed over the sound of machinery towards the group of mercenaries that had just came.
"Hey, you guys! I'm busy with this big guy here, so could you give me the pistol?"
He pointed towards the Rv-11 heavy pistol at the ground. When Rhak did he noticed how the Aegraa seemed to choke and moved his feet to the mechanic's back, pressing down hard to not let the Aegraa escape.
((How big is the Aegraa exactly? Just wondering since the Acheen race is long, thin aliens. they remind of Salarians.))

Talvox heard Rhak shout he needed the pistol, which was near his left leg, and so he kicked across the room in the general direction of him, and then fell asleep. Crycell, still unconscious, was being very unhelpful.

Chalen swung his throwing arm around, around and around until his arm started to swing by itself. As Chalen's arm came to the upper part, he tossed the plasma grenade with such power he could muster. Now Chalen could do nothing but watch while crossing his clawhand fingers.
