It's great to see you back and all Peli, but...
1. We're already talked about this on the Minecraft thread, this is really uncesessary.
2. Of course I stared at Endermen, they're not hard to kill at all.

I do believe it's a step forwards, however, I'm not quite fond of the Bow animation...primarily because I'm not sure where you edit. Further, the chests no longer have a breaking animation, which is somewhat sad (No biggie though). The problem is, though, with any other Tex pak besides the default, it's black on some parts, and the sides are just the regular chest graphic.

The sprinting is really cool, and I LOVE the new server system, much smoother, nicer, easier to navigate. Overall, I like the update (The silverfish are epic...), but it needs a little work. I suppose it's the pre-release, but still...

I am not really entirely happy with the way things are going with the pre release. Food can poison you, there are so many generation issues as well but nothing that cant be fixed. Theres too many abandon mines, the fact theres only one stronghold per world is really dumb. What if your only one was glitched and you could not enjoy it at all? There is no fog button and that irritates me. I just don't like a lot of the things they did. They would probably be better if again, it were all fixed but most of it is intentional.

The strongholds have been changed to 3.
Food poisoning is obnoxious...I personally don't like the food bar. The idea that you regain health when full, but lose when empty...just bugs me. It seems to discourage exploring.

Thats one of the main problems with the update. Its too limiting. Like you said it discourages you to do some things you are used to.

Indeed.
Further, some things are disappointingly easy...such as fighting Endermen. They're easy to find, and easy to kill. Though, I am curious to know a bit more about the items they drop. However, though, one cool thing about Endermen is that they can be seen through leaves, which allows them to sneak up.

BTW, does anyone know about the "Picking up blocks" feature? Do they throw the blocks, or what?

They just pick up any block and do nothing with them as far as I know.

I acually wanna say that I'm dissapointed in Endermen. Sure their concept is cool, but...

1. They aren't rare at all. I can stand in one spot all day and see like 7 of them.
2. They have mouths. Slendermen doesn't even have a face.
3. No tentacles. Now I understand that tentacles would be pretty hard to make in low res graphics, but. Slenderman. Tentacles.
4. They are easy as hell to kill. They can die my moving into torchlight.
5. I was hoping their teleportation pattern would be less predictable than just moving in one direction.

They also aren't very scary. The model class used for them should change once you look at them so that they sprint on all fours and teleport to directly behind you. It would also be good if they can do 8 hearts at once so it's not quite enough to kill you but will get you close. Also (last also) I'd give them about 25 hearts so that they really are a powerhouse thats hard to kill like I was expecting. Lastly, they should be able to open doors and climb ladders if necessary to get to you.

They had a different sound in Notch's video, so I'm sure they'll change that.
(Hopefully they'll chage the fact that Silverfish sound like Spiders too.)

I looked at the files and well, the bow animation, for one, is in the items.png. The chest again has a new png that should be located in the items folder. Hope that helped.

I must say, though the Silverfish are a really cool addition, certainly adds some tension to the game. And they're cool because of the way they move, their size, etc. Maybe a big mob would a good addition. I'm personally quite fond of those little buggers. :3
