| I know this thread is a bit late, since it happened yesterday. Did anybody here feel the earthquake? What do you think? I felt it while I was beating Dialga in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time. I think Dialga was angry at me for beating him.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in Virginia, I believe. We're not close to any fault lines, so it's a really rare occasion. We haven't had an earthquake of that magnitude since 1897. I was in MD, so I could just feel a bit of rumbling and some window shaking, but that's about it. I think my cat slept through it.

| Well, I don't live in the US, I live in Canada. And I certainly did feel it. It was the most strangest thing I've ever felt. When it was happening, I was in a skype call with Agent. I thought I was just going nuts after using the computer for too long. So anyways, I then started to notice everything shaking. My desk, my screen, everything. It was quite scary. D: | |

| I was right in it, Since I live in DC...
I was thoroughly disappointed. I feel flat on my face, people went nuts and some buildings took some damage. Not really worth mentioning, if you ask me. Aside from the fact that the 5 birds of prey I was feeding went completely berserk.

| We got a tornado warning about an hour ago. It's back to watch now, but that's still not good. My parents and sister are going to bed for some reason. | |

| Like Drew said, Hurricane Irene is coming soon. I don't know if the east coast area is going to get hit, though. The forecast says otherwise. I don't really keep good track of it, though, so don't take my word for it. | |

| Summer vacation and there's a hurricane. Too bad for you guys who are having the storm. I have my nice cool West coast...I've never been in a bad earthquake although last year there was a series of small earthquakes...So, yeah.. WEST COAST FTW! | |

WEST COAST FTW! Just because it hasn't happened in your short life, it won't happen. California is on a VERY powerful fault line, which means most earthquakes tend to be powerful. devastating buildings and possibly killing people. And do not be a geographic elitist, it's really annoying.

WEST COAST FTW! The west coast is basically one of the most vulnerable places in the world. If the chain of volcano's ever erupted northward it would mean all hell would break loose. To add to that you live on a active fault line that gets minor quakes often and is going to at some point have a massive eruption. You are bragging about this?

| I just happened to notice...
Whenever one natural disaster takes place, another one follows, at some other location. Remember the Tornado's that the American midwest experienced? They followed directly after the earthquake in japan, if I'm correct.
And now, we have a weak earthquake, we seem to have a rather powerful hurricane headed for the east coast (correct me if I'm wrong)
EXCUSE ME, NATURE. I DO BELIEVE YOU ARE TRYING TO KILL US ALL.

| 2011 is the all time record for most disasters and we are not even out of it yet. | |
